Thank God I'm not the only one.I'm not quite understanding that little comic strip of the robots.
Yes. Presumably, Nolan is trying to elicit an emotional/visceral response from the high sound levels - even at the expense of clearly making out the dialogue in a given scene. Now... we can question whether this actually works as a creative or artistic technique; but it seems clear that its intentional (i.e., its not an amateurish mistake in the sound mixing).

Once is enough for me
Predictable.
It was an unnecessary obligatory "witty" comment. One that most would keep in their heads but of course one lone soul has to be like "HAR it will b funey 2 bash dis movey agen".
I cant think of any thread I've really stayed in for a movie I didn't like.
Absolutely one of my favourites. Shame the [BLACKOUT]docking[/BLACKOUT] music isn't on the regular OST.I know it's typical to jump to the action track but I've had "Mountains" in my head for 48 hours now I swear.

Hunger Games comes out this week, no? Or is it released months later over there?South Korea is absolutely eating this up, virtually no drop over last week and is close to surpassing Dark Knight Rises on it's 2nd week, absolutely insane numbers given Interstellar faces no competition till Five Armies.
I saw the movie in a legit IMAX and yeah that part was mesmerizing. The [BLACKOUT]drone chase was amazing as well. It felt like we were flying over the cornfield[/BLACKOUT].20th according to IMDB but Interstellar would still be taking the IMAX screens. I think it's the people from the IMAX screenings that are spreading the word of mouth. It is amazing there is one particular shot where you follow the shuttle through the ice clouds and it actually looks like you're gliding through the sky the screen was that big. And I was in a LieMAX so god knows how that looked in a real IMAX
You're right. I just looked at the schedule at my theater and looks like there's no IMAX screening for HG. I thought the movie was partially filmed with IMAX cameras like the second movie. Good to know then, I may see Interstellar a second time!^^ Hunger Games won't replace Interstellar in 70mm.
And wow, that unlimited pass thing is pretty crazy.
