*sigh* No I didnt know, Im literally just now seeing it. But that Plane wouldve been Awesome....Consider me Fooled, on the wrong day...

The main thing I liked about that was Bane being seemingly intelligent lol. Here's hoping that part comes true, april fools or not.

-The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, The Joker, and Two-Face aren't in the movie.

And this is a fact how? I am not saying these characters are going to be in the movie but you even said yourself we don't even know who JGL is playing or even some other people in this film yet so we can't rule any characters out really. And who knows there could be surprise cameos or references to other characters.

Nolan has ruled them out himself, Except Two-face, he ruled out Dent, not two face.

I don't know if you were aware of this, but Dent is Two-Face.

:oldrazz:

News to me:cwink: It was specualted a few week's back after Eckhart's comments that since Nolan said Dent won't return he never said the same for two face and it could be argued they are 2 very seperate characters.

Thank Gawd that description is April's Fool.

Pre-production phase, secretive script, unknown roles...it is all still speculation at this point. Like I said....the mentioned characters are most likely not in this movie yes...simply pointing out it isn't a known fact...just an educated guess.

Speculating on a Nolan Batman film and hoping to be right is like trying to find love in a strip club.

Yep because who the **** woulda ever guessed "Tom Hardy will be playing Bane" would have ever come from Nolan's mouth.

The thing about Nolan though is he's just as likely to have a bat villain in purely as a character rather than a main villain. For all we know Edward Nigma could be in the film serving a supporting role rather than being a big bad, JGL could be Robin, Robin could be a girl, Talia could simply be a love interest without being a villain. That what makes Nolan so great. He might look to the comics for inspiration but he truly makes the character his own.

April Fools or not, that opening sounds REALLY good and plausible. A tiny bit similar to Revenge of the Sith, though... with the hero arrested, putting him face-to-face with the new bad guy, battle ensues, and the hero has to escape from a wayward airplane/ship.
Um... no?

Oh em gee, batman jumping from plane to plane? Thats ripping of teh opening scene in goldeneye where he's on a motorbike and gets in a plane and fights teh guys! Ahhhhhh!

Um... no?

Are you saying "Um... no?" that it doesn't sound good? Are you saying "Um... no?" that it doesn't sound plausible?

I guess I'll have to retort with "um... yes" to the fact that I found this April Fools joke actually a reasonably well crafted opening sequence to a Batman movie that would work well within the confines of Nolan's universe. Yay, me. :hrt:

Both. Batman is in police custody yet they don't unmask him, and for some reason he's in England. Also, the League of Shadows and Talia are there, though not completely out of the question they're looking less likely to be in the film.

The main thing that didn't make sense to me is why they are extraditing "Batman" and not Bruce Wayne. If Batman got arrested, the first thing they would do is take his mask off. There's no way they would just have him in full Batman costume, in a plane up in the air. What about customs? :P

I'm not breaking down the entire fake opening sequence minute by minute... I just feel like the concept could actually work to open up the movie. The still masked Batman could easily be explained just like a still make-uped Joker can happen after being arrested. One of the goons simply says, "The boss wanted to be the one to unmask him. No one touch the Bat." Ding!

Would Batman going to Hong Kong in TDK make sense before understanding the plot or watching the movie? Of course not.

And Talia and the League are still as much in the running as they were a few months ago.

Except the police, aka Gordon, are the ones who have him, not the mob. Joker having makeup is explainable just by saying the police didn't have time to clean him (it was all rushed and they had his goons, Gordon, and the press to deal with), which is different than simply removing a mask.

The fact that the Gotham police caught Batman in England is a red flag, he's not an international fugitive.

And Talia and the League are still as much in the running as they were a few months ago.
If Talia was in the film and had that big of a role, it's more likely that we would have heard something about it by now.

Jack - realizing how ridiculous this discussion is.

I guess they could leave it on because its booby-trapped and just dont want to mess with it
