They both would work fine imo. What else does Falcone really do besides become Holiday? Have jealousy issues with his family? That Doesnt make him more realistic of a take for Nolan. I never read Dark Victory and only remember him being in The long Halloween. Are those the only comics hes in?

We arent gonna see a movie with killings spanning over Holidays so besides being young enough for JGL to play and being connected to the first Mob Boss I dont see why hes such a must over Black Mask or Deadshot.

Im up for any of those characters cause I know Nolans choices will be wih best intention for the script but I do want Black Mask because I want more masked crazy people running round gotham. I like that ***t. Be cool to see it playing up in the mob this time. I also like the stuff with him and Catwoman as well as his similarities to Bruce Wayne had he been an villain. But Ive read more with him.

Nolan ain't Shoemaker, but Nolan is a competent storyteller who follows the internal logic of the universe he made. Escalation remember? There should be a lot more crazies running around.

I LOVE escalation, but how many crazies are we talking about? In TDK we had Batman and the Joker (and you can certainly count the Scarecrow and the Fake Batmen if you like); in the sequel we'll have Batman, Catwoman, Bane...perhaps Talia. Throw Deadshot, The Black Mask or King Tut into the mix and that's a lot of loonies. I for one would love a regular guy playing with (or against) all these people. Not a Christopher Walken over-the-top-type of figure as seen in Batman Returns, but a creepy little cold-blooded dude like Falcone could make the point quite clearly that the nastiest folks are the ones without masks.

Not in this series. The "masks" are clearly considered more dangerous because to wear a mask you would have to be out of your rocker in the first place.

In TDK we had Batman and the Joker (and you can certainly count the Scarecrow and the Fake Batmen if you like); in the sequel we'll have Batman, Catwoman, Bane...perhaps Talia. There wont be 5 to 6 major villains in DKR. I would say Catwoman, Bane and the mob. Be it Alberto, Black Mask etc.

Thats what I was asking. If you take Holiday out what part of Albertos character makes him that much more of an interesting/better choice then Black Mask besides having family in the first film? He has jealousy issues with his family and thats bout all I remember. Ive only read TLH and was never like hes gonna wreak ***t up in Nolans version third Batman movie. Im sure he can be translated awesome but just going from the comics I would rather have Black Mask. That guy ****s people up and is a good threat for both Bats and Selina. They both would serve the same purpose when it comes down to it. Albertos never even been addressed so I dont see it like hes the obvious choice, but Im cool with whoever they choose. I just dont want the League pt 2.

- or Max Cort (but not Night Scourge)

Considering Oldman said it's a villain from the old, old comics, and that most Nolan Villains are from the 40's (except for Bane and Ra's al-ghul),I guess he will play Hugo Strange.

I'd love him to be Black mask or Deadshot, but it's just not gonna happen.

I still think he is playing Alberto as well but I wouldn't mind if he turned out to be Black Mask. Although BM's look might not have as much of an impact on the GA as it could since we have Red Skull appearing this summer.

the deal is it didn't even start out as rumor, it was more of a suggestion.

The article was just pointing out that it could work pretty well if it was the route they took.

im beginning to think JGL isn't Falcone or Sionis. but just humor me. I dont think itll happen but..what if he's cast as Black Mask. the first half of the movie hes wearing a black mask, murdering people, screwing around with Selina, kills her friend Holly (who i believe will be Juno Temple's character), Batman gets involved in the story, which is how he and Catwoman meet.
Nobody seems to know Black Masks name or his motivations for all this. Maybe it turns out he's Alberto Falcone and "Black Mask", heck even the name "Roman Sionis" are used as a decoy like Henri Ducard. Turns out Selinas connected to the Falcones, etc. where would they go from here? No idea. But just something i thought up when i read a few ppl talkin bout combining Alberto/Black Mask. it probably isnt gonna happen, if they ever did do that it could be cool or TERRIBLE. but ya, an idea nonetheless.
I still think a young Hugo Strange could work for JGL, im just not sure if they can pull off the Holiday Killer storyline or if they can work Roman Sionis into this with all the history he has with Bruce, considering how much younger Levitt is & looks compared to Bale.

Joker himself stated that Gotham now needs "better class of criminals", why would Nolan step back instead of moving forward? And Two Face did become a ''freak'' at the end. "Brought him down to our level", as the Joker so adequately put it.
