I'd love to see Bale return in the JL movie, but if he doesn't, it's cool. I'm just ecstatic theirs talk of a JL movie now. :D

Jensen Ackles as Wally West
Sarah Shahi as Wonder Woman

If Nolan is really ending his Batman in such a way that the best way to have another film is for WB to reboot, then I don't see Bale coming back.

It's not difficult to 'retool' the films into one verse.

Bale's Batman was the first public superhero, just like in the Timmverse. Therefore, it's understandable why his world is hyper-realistic and there's no other heroes known to man just yet.

I'll guess I'll be the first to post my fan cast after the news;

Christian Bale (The Fighter) as Batman/Bruce Wayne

Ryan Reynolds (Buried) as Green Lantern/Hal Jordan

I like that, except for Worthington. I'd pick Alexander Skarsgard for Aquaman. :yay:

I thought about Alexander Skarsgard, but he's 6'4.. almost 6'5.

He'd tower over our shorter Superman (Cavill) who's like 6'1 tops, on a good day.

Ya bale definitely wouldnt do it... wait he did terminator salvation......

Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas producing the next step in Batman movies!? That's awesome - although I'd just rather they bridge Nolan's Batman with the new Justice League film instead of starting again with Nolan producing the reboot. Seems kind of redundant for him to end this version of Batman only to take part in bringing forth another one... I'm eager to see where this will go.

Rewatching Terminator Salvation, Avatar, and Clash of the Titans, I stand by my choice of Worthington as Orin.

He's got the right voice and accent, and the right cold demeanor for the badass King of Atlantis.

And IMO looks the part (at least how I envision the character).

Do you think Robinov would make the JL movie without Batman and Superman?

It's a stupid thing to make JL so soon. The superheroes need the solo films first.
Something especially hard to understand is why they first make Green Lantern, then suddenly JL and no The Flash or Wonder Woman before that. Just that way to develop the DC universe has no logic at all, and I can't see any explanation for it other than a desperate way to compete with Avengers.
No I say: stick to your own way. Don't try to copy Marvel. Let each of the heroes exist in their own universe and come out as the only superpowered being the world knows.

Because the plan was originally to make solo films and then maybe do Justice League at same point afterwards. WB has a new president now, wants JL out in a couple years then solo films to spin-off from that.

The film can be done without everyone having their own solo movies, while that would be a better choice. If handled correctly each character's history can be introduced in the same film. I remember I wrote an outline for how I would want the JL movie handled once. Have Vandal Savage as the villain in a day where Lex Luthor has become President of the US. Superman and Batman could already have an established relationship with hints that they know each other's secret identities but it's never really stated.

- Centuries ago a group of Martians have landed on Earth (more specifically the island of Themyscira) and have helped the Amazons advance in technology and weaponary, developing for them the "Purple Ray"
- Immortal Vandal Savage over the years has lead an army to try and invade and capture the island. He's failed countless of times and over the centuries has went under the guise of other famous conquerers and war figures, like Hitler, Julius Caesar, etc.
- Present day, Lex Luthor is the President and Vandal Savage (under a different name) is Secretary of Defense. There is a current war going on between the island of Themyscira and another country. There's talks of the US wanting to interfere and oppose. Queen Hippolyta and her daughter Princess Diana travel to the US for a meeting with President Luthor and suggests they don't get into it.
- Meanwhile, heroes Batman and Superman are solving a crime together. Superman is having telepathic dreams (like from JL's "Secret Origins") and he sees glimpses of a secret government base. Batman agrees to look into it and they discover a location and decide to infiltrate the base to figure out what is going on. He comes across the Martian Manhunter in a lab where experiments have been run on him. Batman frees him and the two escape, but not before it gets out to the government officials and now Batman is wanted.
- Vandal Savage convinces Luthor to go to war with the Amazons and mentions that they have a WMD in their midsts. Luthor knows that their soldiers would lose greatly to the strength of the Amazons, which is why he decides to recruit superheroes. Meanwhile, Superman meets Batman in the Batcave with the Martian and he explains himself, stating that he was transported to Earth years ago by a scientist and seized by the government. He has been trying to reach out for help for years to another alien lifeform.
- Luthor holds a press conference that their drafting Superman to the fight. Superman has his own issues with the idea but he doesn't want to look unpatriotic and goes along with the idea of leading a task force including pilot Hal Jordan (who already has his power ring) and government scientist Barry Allen who a couple months ago has used a formula to discover the Speed Force and can now utilize super speed.
- While the three heroes and soldiers prepare for war, the Martian explains to Batman that this is all apart of Vandal Savage's plan. Meanwhile, the Amazons prepare for battle with Princess Diana joining the fight. The fight rages on, and the Martian relays the message to Superman via telepathy. He now sees the true motive of this war and tries to halt the violence and retreat. He tries to tell Diana its all a mistake and its Vandal Savage's doing she listens but quickly ignores him. Superman, Green Lantern and the Flash try to retreat and call back the soldiers but a number of them are killed in battle. As the three make it back to the US with a failed mission they are now targeted by the police and government officials (Vandal discovers they know his plan and has them hunted down). Batman offers them a hideout in in cave as they plan their next move.
- The Amazons are now planning to invade the US but Diana is not sure that is the best move, having all their forces away at battle and leaving their island unprotected especially after Superman has told them about Savage, but the Queen isn't paying her any mind and they move on with their invasion.
- The US is invade and falls under attack and the heroes (including Batmand and the Martian) come out of hiding to defend the country. Princess Diana is in the fight but when she meets Superman and the others she decides to join them and help stop the fighting (she dons a costume resembling the US flag in order to gain their acceptance). The team splits up, some fighting and some going after Vandal Savage, who has fled the US along with some other soldiers (I was thinking maybe even the Suicide Squad) to the island of Themyscira and finally get ahold of the Purple Ray.
- Green Lantern, the Martian and Superman follow them to the island and battle. Vandal is starting up the weapon and is ready to destroy the heroes but during the battle the weapon is damaged and is now set to self destruct due to a power overload and could wipeout the entire island. Green Lantern used his ring to send the weapon deep into space so it can explode out there and out of harm's way. Shortly after, Superman captures Vandal and returns to the US where he announces the scandal and how all of this was he and Luthor's doing. Both are stripped of their positions and sent to jail and the Vice President takes Luthor's spot.
- In the end of it all, Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, and the Martian are given medals and honored as US heroes. They decide to work as a government sanctioned superhero team and go under the name The Justice League (Batman still not an official member).

That's how I'd do it. Good thing I'm not writing it cause that probably wouldn't work :P

Blader: And that's ONLY because of what Marvel is doing now with Cap, Hulk and the others. They feel they must have a JL movie out very soon, or else they will fail and no-one will care about their heroes. Geez, so wrong they are....
But in their world only the size matters, not the structure behind. JL will be a rushed production and a shallow story compared with what it could have been if they waited longer to make it. An instant success with a popcorn movie is better than having a piece of quality in the same grand scale as LOTR.

I hope that if they show WW's invisible jet in this movie, it appears in the same way as in that Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths animated movie. In there, the team steal a jet with cloaking technology and Diana happens to be flying it. They use the cloaking technology but it gets hit in the middle of an aerial battle and gets stuck in cloaked mode. Only at the end of the movie does Diana decide to keep the plane and likes the idea of it being cloaked. The way it was introduced didn't seem hokey at all and if you weren't paying attention, it might even slip past you that it was meant to be her invisible plane. It was just like the Klingon and Romulan Birds of Prey in Star Trek which didn't seem silly at all.

Maybe WB wants to start the production before 2012 so that Superman can be included in JL without worrying about the legalities and Siegels.

People are already familiar with Batman and Superman, and GL plus many know about WW some will be getting to know about her by watching the new NBC TV Series, so no need to wait for each of the charcters solo movies (Thor, Iron Man and Cap. America were relatively lesser Knowns / Unknowns, so it made more sense for the MARVEL to introduce the characters in their Solo movies first.)

DC need not take the same Marvel approach, and they can make a JL movie with some known heroes and a few unknown heroes who can later on have their own movies.

Err that's your opinion, but clearly he's getting high profile work and big blockbusters, so obviously he's seen differently in Hollywood.

Alexander Skaarsgard is a good choice. Height doesnt matter.

I'd prefer not having Superman dwarfed by Aquaman, so that it aligns with the comics better. Reminds me of DJ Cotrona as Superman and Armie Hammer as Batman..

Whether Hollywood sees him differently doesnt matter. THat may say why Hollywood would be looking at him for the role but not why he's the best. We both know Hollywood likes actors for roles that arent good actors or who arent even right for the role
Kinda OT: And I dont even think Hollywood is as in love with him anymore. Sure he has Wrath of the TItans and Avatar 2 lined up, but 1) not that many people care about Wrath of the Titans in comparison to other sequels that are now shooting or in general and 2) Avatar 2 would be big with or without him.

and I said that Superman should be cast as a larger 6'3 and above guy, but he wasnt. Im not gonna say to not get an actor because he's taller than Supes. That's ridiculous.

Don't know if this been posted, but here ya go:

HeyUGuys asked Zack Snyder the very question of his upcoming take on Superman..

‘It doesn’t. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with Superman, what they’ll do with Justice League will be it’s own thing with it’s own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool’
