Say what?! "Everytime tha Beat Drop" (granted, a song no one should be proud of) was a hit, like, 4 years ago. A couple of years before that, I remember she released "So Gone" where she both sang and rapped (the latter once again being something not to be proud of).

Picked up Janelle Monae's new album The Archandroid which dropped today. Also grabbed Reflection Eternal's (Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek) new joint Revolutions Per Minute. I guess they'll put out an album once a decade, heh heh.

I recently heard about J.J. Abrams new action show on NBC called Undercovers, which is gonna star Boris Kodjoe and..the black chick from Doctor Who as a married couple who get back into the CIA. This would probably be the first tv show in a while on a big network that has black leads and isn't a comedy.

I'll watch the show to get my action fix, but I don't have too much high hopes for it. I hated Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and this is pretty much a rehash of it. I hope I'm wrong though. With 24 gone and Human Target between seasons, I could use another show with some good action.

Daybreak had an interesting concept, but it bored me a bit. I really didn't feel like watching a guy wake up on the same day for 13 episodes. I think they should've changed days every two weeks or something.

V hasn't really caught my interest though. I may watch it on a whim one of these days though. I hear good stuff from the people I know who watch it, and I don't think it could be any worse than some crap sitcoms some people recommend.

I think I will check this out, I wanted to wait a little bit to see if they would make it through the season and get an order for a second before I would watch it.

But speaking of shows with black leads, are there ANY on tv right now? I was talking with my sister the other day and I dont know of any shows right now that feature a predominant black cast. Excuse my ignorance but its hard to know these things when you dont live in the states hehe
