The Dark Knight Rises Life after Nolan: What comes next... - Part 1 Unless it's actually Part 2...o - Part 2

I think Strange and Clayface would make a good pair up. They both have ::

I've always thought Clayface had a lot of potential for a film. He had a great origin arc in The Batman, where he was kind of an anti-hero/villain.

In that show he was pratically filing the role of two-face

Well I only say that because it specifically omits a few things from the Trilogy (and origins) stories. Things that couldn't possibly happen now.

First class is more of a reboot, is it not?
It's a semi prequel to x-men 1 and 2.
Pratically the same as superman returns, and it's this that i'm trying to say, retcon things and make the next directors continue the batman film series as they see fit

First class is more a prequel to x.men then Superman returns is to donner and TIH is to Hulk. not only because of Hugh Jcakman. but for a lot of other reasons

Well, besides the semantics, SR & First Class were still similar in tone to their predecessors. Even TIH, as far as the action and the rules of the world, isn't different from Hulk.

Someone following Nolan shouldn't be tied to what's already happened with these characters. He also shouldn't be bound to the tone that Nolan created. I think in this case, Nolan's films have a very nuanced, particular way of working. I don't want to see a bastardization of that, and I also don't see the point of continuing in that world.

A reboot doesn't have to (and really shouldn't) mean yet another origin story. This is Batman after all, I'm sure the world understands his motivations. I say new director, new vision, new actors, and get right into it!

The next franchise, as I said, will simply re-imagine EVERYTHING that Nolan has created. Not rebooting, not scrapping, but altering Nolan's ideas and vision.

So shouldn't that constitute a reboot if your essentially changing and altering his vision & ideas? I know the Bond comparison will inevitably come, but those are based on books, so while you can change the tone, it's basically coming from the same place of origin, unlike here, where these are original stories crafted by a singular director's team of collaborators.

I still haven't seen First Class, Cap...hell, I haven't been to a movie theater in MONTHS. I guess that's what happens when you work at night, and nobody wants to see movies during the day. :(

Killer Croc here, Clayface there. I guess they would differentiate things from Nolanverse. But I want a live-action Black Mask above all!

No it wasn't, it was very well done and made the characters, even those that didn't say much, interesting

Different opinions. Cause I didn't really like it that much at all (Fassbender was great but that's about it).

But this is the wrong forum for starting a discussion about that film. So I'll end my opinions here.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of villains they go for in the reboot. Obviously, there's going to be a larger aspect of fantasy involved since the film will connect with other worlds of DC.

I want to see him fight Riddler and Deadshot. Deadshot goes to jail. Then Suicide Squad movie.

Deadshot is already in jail after the events of Gotham Knights
