That's not really news. They are just speculating on figures from an NPD report.

All they are basically saying is, "see these toy sales. Maybe they will still make a sequel due to toy sales."

There isn't really any actual news of substance there. Other than the writer saying the movie is "arguably deserving of a sequel." What does that even mean?

Who said anything about news? I'm sharing the info from the article. You guys always find something to complain about.

I'm just saying there was no actual news or substance from that article. It was barely even an article.

Blame Lionsgate for not giving any info and staying silent. I wish they'd say something myself (obviously).

It means Power Rangers is doing well in the down months of toys sales post-Christmas. Once September hits, we all know what happens. What has happened the last two years:

What is funny about all this, is it doesn't even apply to Lionsgate. They don't get this money.

Yeah even if a film flops they always claim theyre working on a sequel. The only time i Remember them saying otherwise was with the next TMNT film
They are weighing their options.

Yeah, they haven't exactly been the most communicative studio when it came to this movie. Even those sequel claims were by Saban and not Lionsgate.

Lionsgate isn't going to come out and say it didn't do well. No reason to. benefits no one, and it isn't exactly classy. They are business. Also, there is the possibility they could work out a deal for a sequel somehow.

Honestly, I'd just expect this to either fade away, or we will get a surprise announcement of a sequel. Otherwise, don't expect much out of them that isn't tied to a board meeting.

It's when the management mentions you are a big reason of loss on your annual reports, that is when you are in real trouble.

(looks at TMNT)

God, that must have been embarrassing.

The only moments i can see them giving any info indirectly of course is during the home release event in California or around one of the Comic-Cons/Morphicon. It could also end up like Superman Returns/Tron 3 where we hear indirect news until it's shelved.

Becky G is a goddess! Naomi looks pretty damn cool as well.

Is the dvd out yet? Any interesting deleted scenes or concept art?

I supported the movie and pre-ordered the special edition blu ray through Best Buy. I still think this was an underrated gem but I can clearly see why it didnt do well.

The movie would have to do fantastic business on home video/digital sales/rentals for LGF to do a sequel.

There's still a small possibility for a sequel, but either way, I'm happy with one decent film.

I hope it gets a sequel despite it's bad intake. But not even making $200 million makes it unlikely.
