The reason why I speculated about Tor-An or Dev-Em being on Earth was because actors were supposedly spotted in their CGI costumes while filming in Plano.

Interesting!

Oh, no ****?! I missed that! Innnteresting.

Then again, maybe it wasn't Michael Shannon because it was his stunt double. They filmed in Plano so long ago. Remember how we used to sort through the daily pictures when they filmed in Plano?

do you guys have high hopes for Shannon as Zod?

Got a feeling he could steal the show

Well only be able to tell via a trailer with info or the film itself. Cannot wait to see it I'm so convinced this will be the best CBM ever.

If I was to pick a show stealer it's Shannon as Zod.he might be the best actor in the movie.

Michael Shannon said in one interview that he was not the only one wearing a mocap suit when they was shooting.

There's definitely some huge stuff going down in Metropolis. The shot with the beam and the vehicles flying towards the screen and skyscrapers to the right. Looks bigger than the climax in Avengers or at least that shot.

***** will go down in the final battle of MOS.

Can't tell you how happy that makes me as well. Having the 'big show down' be in Smallville would have really sucked.

Plus, Thor might get angry that Superman took a page out of his book by using a tornado as well to defeat his opponent in less than a minute.lol

Yeah :hehe:, and it's possible there will be enough Thor similarities what with it being a 'sends his son to earth from another world' thing, and he can fly, and Asgard was kind of neo-medieval in a way.

That, and the fact that Superman shares a similar passionate kiss with his love interest in this film like Thor did in his own.haha

Talking of the final showdown in Metroplolis, do we know what locations were used to film the city?

I ask because actually going on location to New York (shutting down streets etc) really helped The Avengers have such a huge climax, it definitely didn't look like a green screen fest. I hope MoS's Metropolis battle will easily rival it in terms of scale, whilst maintaining the realistic tones the trailer sets up (i.e as soon as fight effects are needed it doesn't descend into a Sucker Punch style scenario).

They did film sequences in Chicago; ranging from scenes like Clark riding his bicycle, to crowds looking up in the sky, and ultimately with some running around in panic from supposed chaos.

There were also rumors/news reports on how Zod attacks a train station in Metropolis and that Superman gets involved in that as well.

Don't :funny: You know how I feel about that.

I'm the one who said they'd prefer the 'drumroll' over an actual kiss.

But hey, we've got one. And we've got one between Superman and Lois too, not Clark and Lois. So I just have to deal with it.

I'm just worried that it won't make sense. If the film is more focused on Clark and the villain plot and less on the romance (which is what we're all hoping), then the kiss just doesn't seem like it'll be anything more than a forced moment.

OMG link?

That's my dream come true. I've been talking about Superman saving people trapped in train wreckage for ages. I mean, I was imagining it from Lois' POV as Superman's first save, but it'd be awesome to just see anything like it!

lol; well my theory is that Lois will be integrated earlier into Clark's story than she normally is in regular mythology. Perhaps they encounter each other for the first time in Alaska; let alone her learning his secret in this film..and going off from that.

I think that picture of Cavill wearing the suit and posing alongside a small kid (supposedly an extra I think) was said to have been taken at a train station set..and I remember reading about it as well on the facebook page, that and one of the set videos featured people coming out of a train station in horror as well.

I recall someone posting a set pic of them filming at a train station.

A random question just out of my own curiosity: why a train? Is it just because we've seen him handle cars and planes?

what is the likelihood this movie is going to be 3D at imax showings?

cause I'll probly just do 2D at a regular theater if it is

Superman 2 so dumb!zod and co didn't even care to ask why jor-el son was on earth and superman didn't even care to tell them what happen to there home planet?they didn't know what happen to krypton?no!it's dumb!

I`m going to try to low my expectations so if a full scale battle like the Avengers doesn't happen in this movie, i won't feel let down. As long as the action is amazing, i`ll be ok.

Hey, all. I work downtown in Chicago and live outside of Chicago. I was at the set in Plano (my pictures were posted on the front page) and watched filming at a few downtown locations. I previously posted about all of this, but I'll just repeat it here:

- There is a scene in Plano where Superman gets a train thrown at him. I think the train was made out of Styrofoam. A gas station also blows up.
- When they were filming crowd reaction scenes downtown, a production assistant and I were talking for over an hour. He told me in bits and pieces, with my prodding, that there are 3 villains in the movie and one of them is CGI. The CGI villian was being played by a stuntman, not an actual actor.
- One scene in Metropolis involved Zod attacking the city from his ship.
