Pfft. They still have comic book characters in them that exist from comic book in the firts place. Therefore I will always refer to them as comic book films. There is nothing wrong with this. People like Nolan did change the way we look at comic book films, but it's still a comic book film. I think it's awesome something like TDK, TDKR, and seemingly MOS are taking that kind of approach. But they're still comic book films at their core, no matter how different they dress it up. They're just different visions for a comic book film. And that's fine. And you can still look at it as a film, because that's what it is, but this is a genre of its own and we should be proud people are taking it in other places.
