I agree. I obviously want to say how much I love it... not just the theme and the concept; but I'm so in awe of the wonderful execution as well. Texture work is outstanding. Congratulations, its a wonderful piece!!!

I've been thinking about doing a dense battle scene with non-comic book characters recently...
I decided to go with the them of what I'll call 'brand mascots'.
In other words, the classic that are created for no other reason than to promote a product... So, Bart Simpson's "Nobody's Gonna Lay A Finger On My Butterfinger" does not apply.
In this sketch, the Kool-Aid guy is holding a crack on his side, and McDonald's Hamburglar is drowning Ronald McDonald in Kool-Aid.
In this sketch, Lucky from Lucky Charms is kicking some a**! He's choking Frankenberry with marshmallow horseshoe, while Count Chocula and Boo Berry die from being stabbed by a marshmallow moon and star, respectively.

Having said that, I'm finally done with my modern take on the 'Wizard of Oz' gang.
I had the idea to do something like this for a long time, and after months of an utter void of motivation to draw, I decided to just jump back in and see if this lingering idea could get me back in the saddle.
I had a blast with it... I added a few references to different 'Oz' titles, and even a few references to Stephen King's 'Dark Tower' Series. (Many more 'Dark Tower' references were planned, but when I decided to include Elphaba late in the game, I dropped a bunch of them)....
I hope you like it.

About 2 weeks ago I sent a private message to Mattchew asking him if he could help teach me how to color the way he does (since I love his style), and I attached the picture I wanted to color. The picture is below..
He hasnt responded, and now I see that he's kinda claimed my idea as his own. I dont mind that he takes a spin on it, as they're world-known characters, but I wish he wasn't so rude about it and atleast asked or credited me or something.

Nevertheless, I'm refuse to be branded a thief so I'm scrapping the piece to avoid any suspicion of thieving.
