What? Batman and Robin is a great movie for what it is. Great entertaining and replay value.
The hype is your fault...no one else's.
I don't think so! Nolan, his associates, and various fans claimed it was going to be better than The Dark Knight. It wasn't.
And they were right. It was better than TDK, imo.

Well Batman DE runs only about 8 minutes and while I wouldn't say it's the greatest fan film ever made it does come pretty close in capturing the grim grittiness of Batman.
No, it's Batman & Robin too. Batman Forever suffers from tone problems too, but B&R is not this completely committed camp comedy.
I won't go that far. It is one awful movie. But it does have enough redeeming qualities that I don't think it is the worst comic book movie ever. I'd rather watch it than films like Catwoman, Transformers, Ghost Rider or Fantastic Four.
Anyone who thinks Batman & Robin is a good movie is insane. I'm sorry, but you enjoy one of the worst movies ever made. It's not even so bad it's good like 'The Room'. It's just bad. It should never have been made.

You're in the extreme minority on that one. I thought it was decent, but very flawed. Consensus is definitely on the side of TDK being the stronger film.
Actually it is, to me. And are you implying that The Room actually should have been made? Every bad movie in the world shouldn't have been made, but some are more entertaining than others. B&R is one of them. No s**t those of us who enjoy it know it's one of the worst movies ever made.

I find that shocking, everyone I know seem to rate it higher than TDK. could be just the genetic Aussie madness speaking though.
I say the forums because I haven't found one person outside of the forums that preferred TDK over TDKR. I keep being told that TDKR was a solid conclusion and Nolan's trilogy only got better and better by each installment. Honestly, I feel people pay too much attention of Ledger's performance. Don't get me wrong, Ledger's Joker was brilliant, but I believe Nolan tried more with TDKR's story and made it more complex than TDK, which was much more simple. And even being complex, the story worked and was very powerful.
