The Dark Knight Rises New Batmobile

They should do something similar to the Batmobile from the 1989 film. It was like a tank in the form of a car (except it carries machine guns and bombs). I'm sure the good people working for Nolan can be creative enough to make the car unique so it won't feel like it's a rip off but also try to add many of the same elements that the Tumbler had.

I don't care if it's "not realistic", this is a Batman film FFS.... introduce the Batwing! Nolan shouldn't restrict himself so much. I'm sure he can provide a decent explanation for the introduction of the Batwing.

Evolution of the Batmobile

I've always loved the TAS Batmobile its just great in so many ways.

BTAS, Morrison's B&R flying Batmobile (mostly suits Dick though), and the Tumbler.

That Detective Comics (2008) one looks good too. Its like a new version of the BTAS one.

Looking at that chart, it looks like something along the lines of the Batmobile from Gotham Knights- The Games People Play (2005) would work great for a sleeker, more actual Batmobile-like version of the Tumbler for The Dark Knight Rises.

The one from Child of Dreams has been my favorite ever since though.

I love how most of the Batmobiles after oh, say, 1989 have a lot of Burtonmobile influence to them.

That's because the Burtonmobile is THE Batmobile. Everything else pales in comparison.

Favorite Batmobile of all time -

Bruce Timm's New Adventures design.

Sleek, simple, no distracting bells and whistles. A hot ride.

I love that 1994 (on the right) so much, nice and smooth but still a beast.

My two favorites from long-running comic issues are the;
1. 1996 LOTDK badass black batmobile that was slick, had that sweet hood and those kickass fins
2. The post-NML batmobile. It was closest to that 1996 car and had a hint of the TNB&RA car in it, I loved that toy back in the day.

The sportier the Batmobile the better, in the comics-wise.

But, for some reason the Knightfall Batmobie was always weird but pretty damn awesome.

It would be nice if we got a Batmobile with an actual, visible bat motif in the next movie.

(And a costume for that matter)

I'm inclined to agree! The original BTAS one and the Tumbler are also up there for me, and I quite like a couple of others too.

It is funny how most of the Batmobile's before 20 years ago were convertibles...

Also, my top 3 are:

BTAS
BATMAN 1950 (1950's Cadillac)
2005 JUSTICE

Three favorite Batmobiles in order:

The Batmobile from the Burton-Two. IMO it looks and feels like a Batmobile! The only thing that holds it back is the length, which makes it difficult to make narrow turns but it's not like I can afford one. Better yet, it's not even legal to drive on the road. It looks awesome in film and that's what counts.

The Batmobile from Arkham Asylum (the video game). The design is awesome! This is something I'd like to see in The Dark Knight Rises:

Third favorite is the Tumbler. Everything about the Tumbler is awesome but the only thing I don't like is the size but it looks awesome in film and that's all what matters.

That AA batmobile is just as ghastly as Batman's gauntlets and general size.

Not necessarily, unless we both played different versions of AA.

The car looks like the Batmobile from the Burton-films as well as some elements from the comics.

Sick chart yo! I honestly cannot choose which is my favorite Batmobile. Either the Burtonmobile, the Tumbler, or TAS is my fav design of the car. However, I look at AA Batmobile and love the design but cannot see a car of that sort in TDKR. I think for Batman's new vehicle, Nolan and Co. will settle on a sleeker, more versatile hot rod than anything. Nothing as large or as bulky as the Tumbler, even though that thing was beast.

Who knows, Bats could still just be sticking to the Bat-Pod this time around. TDK showed us that it was an easliy manuverable vehicle capable of some nice stunts and a slick get away. If anything, Batwing! It's realistic, it can be done, so lets make it happen!
