I'm one of the people who likes the idea of the Batmobile as an urban assault vehicle (makes sense if you're fighting crime in the city from hell) but this looks like the sort of thing Batman drives sometimes in the comics.

Hell, this looks like it was custom-built for Batman.

What I can almost guarantee is that, if the Tumbler doesn't return, it's followup is not going to be a car straight off an assembly line, or even something that resembles one.

You have to remember- they built a car, a type of car, that simply didn't exist in real life. With no front axle!

If they're going to come up with something new, it's going to be something just as unique.

Anything less would seem lazy in the wake of his own films. Not that it couldn't be awesome; Nolan just set a high bar for himself. Hard to outdue yourself when you INVENTED A NEW TYPE OF CAR.

I'm with you. I've said many times how much I hate it. And the strange thing about it, is that it gets posted about every page, and it seems like the same people respond to it, like it's their first time they've ever seen the pic.

Eitherway, this is something I'd like to see in the next batmobile design, that is, if Fox doesnt remake the tumbler I miss the tumble

The Red Hood batwing is fantastic, but both the batwing and batmobile from Arkham Asylum are ghastly if you ask me. Why did they go with those designs?

But then again they gave Batman that physique and robo gloves and boots. They always have to screw up something, dont they?
