Imagine they build it up and he comes flying in smashing through a dozen Parademons as the music hits the really good bit, then plants a fist into Darkseid's face.

Take some beats from The Man Who Has Everything for that fight I say, would be great, Like you know "BURN!" :heat vision across the chest:

Actually, he actually WASN'T a cause of all that. It was sad that Superman was wrongly accused. I felt this conflict and I rooted for the guy. Boy, what he had to endure in this film... Superman completely won me over.
Agreed. I don't feel it was fear and death that Superman caused that's the main focus on the film. It felt more like his actions in interfering with certain events trying to save lives have consequences on a political level, as well as what his presence may mean to the scientific and religious communities. I really like the snippet of the interview where the interviewer asks the senator (to paraphrase) how she's going to tel the mom of a girl that superman could have and should have saved from whatever trouble, but because of political restrictions, he was not allow to save her. Those points throughout the movie is what I imagine would be brought up if this were to happen in our real world.

I don't know about anyone else but I really hope they do another film in the DCEU, where it's Batman and Superman together as a team. A Worlds Finest movie if you will.
I've been reading the Batman/Superman comics before going into the film, and I really like the BFF aspects of the two characters, to the point where Superman is pretty much telling Batman about his dating issues with WW. They just seem like 2 normal guys just chilling when they're not saving the world. Would be cool if one day we'd get a scene with Superman just chilling in the batmobile with bats, drinking coffee and chating, just like the animated series.

Tell you my one big hope for Justice League when Superman returns I hope they blast out the full on version (not just the slow beats) of 'What Are You Going To Do When You Aren't Saving The World?'. I really missed it in BvS.
I do suspect that's what they're saving that theme for! It would be such a glorious moment for all Superman fans!

Batman! Batman! Batman! I cannot be happier with his portryal of Bruce Wayne and Bats in this movie.

I loved:
1)Wayne waking up next to some randomn woman, along with telling Clarke he's easily distracted by women at the Lex party - nice nod to his playboy persona.

I loved his scenes with Alfred.

I worship his first scene at the sex trafficking warehouse!

In fact there is not one scene he is is, that i don't like. Hats off to Ben for giving us the best on screen Bats ever. He has really set the bar high.

I loved the Lex party and the cat and mouse between Diana and Bruce, while Clarke listened to him and Alfred.

The opening scene in Metropolis was really well done.

I agree with you 100%. In my opinion, this is the best live action portrayal of Batman and Bruce Wayne ever.

Hence, why I love this film so much. Here, in the real world!

My second viewing is later today (Monday) in 3D this time. I feel I might have a cry this time as I'll be going alone to this one. I held stuff in manfully on first viewing haha as I was with family and friends.
I think I'll go next time alone too. The first time I was with a friend. Today I went with larger company (everyone reacted from OK to awesome), but next time I'm going alone. I also feel I might end up crying. There are beautiful and touching moments in the film...

LOL. That's what I felt during the final battle.

Hey :) Yeah i'm good thanks, how've you been?

Haha I remember that, though i'm kind of glad we didn't... after all, my heart broke and I walked out of the cinema crying and just wanted to be alone with my thoughts :funny:

Yeah me too.

I find it harder to be forgiving of MOS because there's not enough there that I like. I've re watched it a fair few times, but I don't find I get much enjoyment from the film... it just makes me unhappy, and generally I find it a bit boring and the story a bit depressing.

BVS is still continuing the same tone in a way, but there is just so much more fun to be had with the characters/story this time around. So much more that they got right. So much more of an interesting story.

And I can't see myself getting bored of re watching this film, because it ticked all my guilty pleasure boxes.

I love Lex Luthor, he's my favourite villain of all time. I love how he was written (they really understood the psychology of his hatred of Superman and his obsession with knowledge and power) and even Eisenberg grew on me on the second viewing. I loved the fact that he [BLACKOUT]found out his secret identity. And that he kidnapped his mom and pushed Lois off a high rise.[/BLACKOUT]

I love Kryptonite, and I loved how it was used in this film, and how Henry portrayed it's effects (way better than i've seen in other interpretations).

I love Clois. And they actually showed us enough to make their relationship and their love feel real.

I love Batman & Superman's friendship. And I love [BLACKOUT]the 'Martha' connection in the film, as cheesy as it might be. It was a way of saying 'we might be different, but we also have a lot in common'. And when Bruce pledged to Clark that he'd save his mom, and Clark nodded[/BLACKOUT]... in that moment he chose to trust him. I could totally see them turning into the kind of allies they are in the stories I love, where Clark actually gives Bruce kryptonite because he is the person he trusts most in the world to stop him if he goes over the edge.

Not bad thanks, I moved house just before Christmas so I've had a topsy turvy few months sorting stuff and trying to get settled, I guess it's all fun though :woot: Are you still in your flat?, actually, do you still post in the relationship thread? maybe I'll come and catch up with you and Retro if he's still on here?

I remember how upset you were after MOS, so I'm glad Superman and the Universe are slowly growing on you. Who knows, in a few years you might be as bad as some of us :cwink:

I really loved the film and I agree with all your points and thoughts about it. I think the extra 30 mins in the ultimate cut dvd will really lift it even higher.

I was going to call you 'Hopey D' like years ago, but thought you might throw something at me haha

One positive thing that movie did was I started interested and like Superman

Watching that final battle and what followed....man, I was back reading the death of Superman comic again... The panels are almost burned into my brain lol

Without wishing time away, I'm wondering how much extra we will get in the dvd regarding the death and funeral, it could be even more emotional. Snyder said there is extra at the start and end of the film, and the Africa scenes are totally different apparently?

:funny: Nah I like the nickname.

Moved into a new place with the boyfriend recently too, but no I don't go in the relationship thread much anymore. I guess I don't have much to say now i'm in a happy relationship :hehe:

My reaction to the film has confused even me TBH, because realistically it's still heart breaking to me that this is the Superman the younger generation will grow up with, and that they may never know the version of him that comforts me, fills me with hope & inspires me to be a better person.

But meh... I guess I just dealt with that dissapointment a long time ago.

Cool. Welcome Sonia :yay:

If people are getting interested in Superman from seeing this film then that's awesome.

I was thinking today, that we may get the possible action sense when Batman goes to Lexcorp and takes the Kryptonite. but that's just me.

The Ezra Miller Ben Afleck scene really exposed the real Comic fans from the fake

Next time read the first post....

There is no other thread on the Hype right now that is positive about this movie. I'd like for the one thread that is positive to remain open...

Oooh, interesting.

There will be a few surprises and lots of shiny goodness to add to the already shiny goodness! haha I'm sure Sir Zachary of Snyders will give a bit more info on what he's putting back in. We know he's said some scenes with Doomsday and also the Bat wrecking peeps to save Martha scenes.

When he said the Africa scenes are totally different that confused me though?

But taking a jab at people who you say are fake comic fans. It's insinuating that people who didn't like the film are fake fans. Just say that you liked the scene. I liked it too. There's no need for the real/fake comic fan part.

Maybe he doesn't kill off Jimmy Olson? Lol.

Calm down its not that serious Look I don't post in BvS forums just came to drop a quick comment complimenting the great scene. Good day to you I won't be posting in this thread again

It's probably my favourite too. I don't think it's the best quality superhero movie ever made, but as a Superman fan, the fact that I even like it at all puts it right at the top of my list :funny:
This. There are better made ones for sure, but when I say something is the "best xxx movie," I mean it gave me the most entertainment value, because isn't that the point of a movie?

So pleased you are happy and moved :woot: I remember I was going to come to Bristol and fix your door bell hahaha

Basterd doorbell, hope you kicked it and force lightening it as you were leaving :emp:

I also grew up with the comics and of course with Chris Reeve, so I can understand that you want that same hope and inspiration. My feeling is that kids of today will actually get that from Clark, especially when he 'returns' in JL or however they are doing it.

We should count ourselves lucky that we have had that version as our main one. I am still hopeful that the next time we see Superman he may be free from having the weight of the world on his shoulders so to speak. You know what I'm trying to say anyway Becky, I'll stop babbling on :woot:

I take it you have no work today either?

Zod wins "best and truest comic book movies fan" contest:
“I’m so utterly unconcerned with the outcome of that fight. So profoundly, utterly unconcerned. I can’t even come up with a fake answer. I guess I have to root for Superman because he killed me, so I would hope that he would continue his killing spree and become like a serial killer Superman. That’s a new take on Superman. We’d all be in a heap of trouble if Superman was a serial killer. He could just wipe us all out. But then he’d be lonely.”
Isn’t he already lonely?
“Well, we’re all lonely.”

:lmao:
