How many showings have you been to now?

Also what exactly is 4DX?

I didn't notice that :csad:

4dx is when the cinema features special effects like water, wind, fog, smell, lights, seats that move and everything is in synch to the on-screen action.

This was my third viewing. :woot:

Wonder Woman's big screen debut is beyond my highest hope, its presentation and the now building and spreading of WW hype around the world :ilv:

This. There are better made ones for sure, but when I say something is the "best xxx movie," I mean it gave me the most entertainment value, because isn't that the point of a movie?

It depends. There are movies that are not meant to be entertaining but are good. :P

I love that you like them all. I still need to see 3, 4, and Returns.

You haven't seen Superman 3, 4 or Superman Returns?

Okay. Manhunter, your task for this week/weekend is to watch them all.

Good luck, and report back when the task is completed :cwink:

So it's like being alive then ?

Or on public transport...

Everything Clois, both the sweet and the bitter.
Clark/Superman as the heart and soul of the film.
Lois - headstrong, stubborn, supportive of Clark, gets to the truth no matter what.
Everything Diana/WW - intelligent, compassionate, badass Amazon warrior all in limited screen time.
The relationship dynamic between Bruce and Alfred.
Senator Finch - great performance by Holly Hunter, so glad that she stood up to Lex, despite the dire consequences.
Diane Lane as Martha Kent - protective mother who had to accept that her son would do what was right despite personal consequences.

I'd also like to add the gifs I posted in the original positivity thread, courtesy of beneffleck.tumblr.com, because Ben Affleck + puppies dressed as DC heroes = :yay:

And I love the silliness of the idea of Clark coming back in JL Part One by warging into a puppy :cwink: Whilst Bruce, Diana and Lois try to find a way to get him back into his body, Alfred has to deal with puppy 'Mr Kent' crushing tennis balls, accidentally setting fire to the curtains when heat vision shoots out of his puppy dog eyes, and having 'accidents' on Bruce's vintage Axminster carpets :cwink:

I don't have access to them :p

True, and I appreciate them, but there not gonna rank as highly with me because I don't get that fun/wow factor. Just a matter of taste really :)

Haha, I like you Miss Lane :woot:

oh my god those gifs

It's amazing, :D I really felt like I was running with Bruce towards Black Zero during the opening ;) with all that fog and wind and smell, there's also an effect on the back of your seat, you feel the punches, so I was feeling my dear Superman's pain when Batman threw him from that top floor and he landed on his back, damn u bruce! this is personal now! :argh:

Sounds like a heck of an experience Andreth :woot: I saw a show on tv where they were demonstrating the 4dxk turbomatrix thingy stuff, and it looked like if they matched it perfectly and didn't over do it, it would be awesome.

So now not only am I jealous of the IMAX people, I am now jealous of the 4th dimension dream weavers who got to be almost in the actual film!

Sorry. I'm calm now :woot:

The bolded part was where I was going to make a fart joke, but I wont bother now as I have done so without having to do so...

Yeah, time for bed for me.

Who here thought aquaman was gonna turn up with the spear where lois threw it? when i saw her throw it in the water i was like "oh yeeeaaa!! aquamans gonna show up" lol.

I really enjoyed the first Batman scene. When the girl points to the ceiling and says he's still there, you could hear the criminal's screams above you. I was in a regular AMC room btw. Not IMAX. I really liked that.

So glad this thread is still going strong!

honestly, I think BvS has the best Bruce Wayne/Batman story arc on big screen.

from the BvS confrontation, he learns to be a hero who put saving people as the top priority, mostly learning from Superman. Transformed the past Batman who aimed at punishing the criminals.

the contrast between the first "horror" sequence to the later Martha saving one: it's not his objective to save those slaves, but in the end, he's out to save Ma Kent.

then, the contrast between branding/judging/punishing criminals to in the end, he didn't brand Lex. Lex gets what he deserves in the jail cell, and Batman is going to form Justice League to save mankind.

just wonderful cinematic storytelling.

This is very well put. I really wish more people would open their eyes and properly see the big picture and things like these. It's a really good movie and it shows a lot of thought went into it and the scenes as well as the storyline.

I loved that as well. I also really liked the fact that when Supes stopped Doomsdays first punch, he was saving Lex.

I'm actually in a minority of people who likes them all (yup including III & IV) :woot:

I'm the same way. I love all 4 Supermans as well as the first three Batmans because of how much I loved them when I was a kid. I just barely outgrew Batman And Robin before it came out lol. Hell, I loved the 90's Captain America movie, I remember the first time I discovered it at the video store, and watched it multiple times in one night.

Nowadays I appreciate them for sentimental value, but they aren't exactly the type of movie I'd want to see.

I love the tone of the DKT and the new DCEU, without a doubt.

I'm not here to knock on Snyder, I really respect him and love Watchmen, but BvS is the first movie I've ever followed so closely via Internet. Snyder's visual sense, his imagery, and the cinematography I think are beautiful and really vibe with the idea of a CBM, it looks like a comic panel come to life. His Batman looks like B: TAS bought to life, and for the visual aspect, I give Snyder two thumbs up. I've only recently watched a couple interviews with Snyder, and realized he's not very good at expressing himself, and I wonder if that translates to his story telling abilities. I want to see his vision of the Justice Leauge, but I hope they've taken the criticisms of MoS and BvS in terms of story and character development to heart and bring on a fresh perspective for JL (while keeping Snyder heavily involved).

Been stewing in the movie for a couple days and the things I liked about the movie keep getting stronger.

I know right! That's so Superman of him. Too bad most people seem to overlook that little moment.

I can't stop listening to "Beautiful Lie", I keep picturing the opening scene with Ben's voiceover aswell. Just such a majestic way to open a film.

I absolutely didn't expect how simple the title credits were, and that too during the tear inducing flashback scene. Even the title of the movie wasn't fancy. I didn't expect that at all.
