That what amazes me.

I usually find it hard to rewatch a film this many times, in a very short time, and mostly alone.

Even more so, it just gets better and better with every view!

How many times have you seen it? I will agree though, MOS was the first movie I ever saw twice in the theaters both in IMAX 3D and this time I'll be going a third time for BVS next weekend all 3 times in IMAX 3D.

No other movies have made me want to watch them so many times. I can watch MOS on a whim whenever I feel like and still come away with the same feeling of awe and appreciation while always finding something new to appreciate every time.

I feel the same will happen for BVS once the Ultimate Cut is released. And considering I'm obsessed with the Ultimate or Director's cuts of Snyder's movies, I can safely say that I will have watched that movie atleast 100 times before JL comes out haha.

And I can totally agree with you that every time I watch BVS I come away with something new to appreciate about it.

For example, something I noticed very clearly in my second viewing. After they introduce Batman in that beautifully executed, almost mini horror movie type fashion which shows the 'demon' in his full mysterious and horrific glory, they show that amazing shot of Bruce with his hands at his front, descending in the elevator into the batcave and that shows his size, build, finesse, smartness, and overall imposing personality all in one shot, which is something I've never seen before in a Bruce Wayne on the big screen.

That was when I knew this is going to be the perfect Batman, both of his sides being perfectly understood and portrayed with scenes hardly a few seconds long. :)

And the best part is that just those few seconds of Batman and Bruce were better than the hours of anything I've seen in any other Batman movie.

It says right there in the first post of this thread that this is NOT a place to complain about the negative opinions of other posters outside of this thread. It also says that to do so would be grounds for banning, so I'd suggest you find a new theme, and quickly.

Alright, sorry. Thanks for reminding me.

Straight forward answer... It isn't!
Has as already been mentioned - the haters are willing the movie to fail and are in denial of the box office takings so far!
$600mil in a week? That's success... plus the repeat viewing is strong. Only seen it twice so far, but am going again in the next few days. :woot:
The movie will end up in the top 5 highest grossing movies of all time in my opinion.
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you started typing this post before seeing the one I posted just above it, so I'm letting you off with a warning.

But let me be clear. As is stated at the top of this thread, if anyone else uses the word "hater" in this thread referencing those who don't like the film, that is grounds for banning.

Lots of people in here are rewatching this movie like me...multiple times.

How is this dropping so hard in the box office!!!????

I watched it last night with almost packed crowd.

C'mon people let's support this!!!

I think it's doing good in B.O., although it might not be as most people expected/hoped.

And while I think it's a film that most people will enjoy, it also has niche parts and more darkness than people are used to. So it has more challanges than the regular superhero film.

Yeah it's like Watchmen and MOS had a lovechild and I totally love that about it! :ilv:

EDIT: Considering they are my two most favorite CBM's of all time now, that's saying something. :D

^ I liked it a lot in places, and the writing has improved a lot since MOS. But Batfleck's killing issues and its simplicity of plot mar it.

There's panic it won't do 1 bil. Since some article said it needs to do something close to it to be profitable. I have no idea, personally, and, at this point, don't care. Zack is gonna direct it anyway, I suppose. As long as BvS crew is involved - I'm calm and optimistic. They will do even better next time. I'd rather discuss DCEU or stuff that I loved about the film.

How many times have you seen it?

4 times. Twice in IMAX 3D & twice in regular 2D.

And I agree with these small details. They keep coming.

Bruce and Lex both felt powerless in their childhood, and Superman showing up brought those feelings back.

And while learning about Martha brought Bruce back and closer to Superman, after learning about Martha Lex kidnaps her and uses her against him.

Saw it for the 4th time today. The top half of the theater was packed in. A lot of kids again and a slew of older people.

There was a single mom with 2 kids. They were acting up and being bad the entire time before mom yanked the chain and left about 30 min in lol.

Laughs at the same spots. Good response to Wonder Woman and crying at the end.

When we left, a guy behind me said it was the best superhero film he's seen in awhile. Crowd seemed to like it. No applause or anything at the end. Just whispers walking out.

Because it's not enough people doing it. The 2nd weekend crowd was scared away from that RT score that was posted last week. That's why.

Seeing it a third time this Sunday a will enjoy it a third time too. :)

Apologies - I didn't see that... my post was intended to bring positivity :woot:

According to sources though, second week sale are higher than expected... so somebody's not telling the truth.

It's not. No way it is. The massive drop doesn't suggest that there are higher than expected second week sales.

I liked that lex tried to use their families to turn them against each other but in the end it was the very thing that linked them.

I still think that martha moment is some sort of master stroke and at the very least a swing for the fences. From the 'rose bud' like opening cue that defined bruce' loss of childhood to the moment he saw another boy literally under his boot, trying(and failing) to save his own martha. Nutz that it's been so reduced, but that's how things go sometimes.

People that write those articles don't understand the finances of movies. The movie is basically paid off by the time it starts with all the sponsorship dollars poured into it; think Turkish Airlines for example. Ticket sales cover marketing costs, but probably not a lot of that needed to anyway.

Going to see it later today for the second time. Cannot understand the apparently vindictive nastiness from some parties but nothing I can do about it except appreciate it as my probably favourite superhero movie.
I'm not one of those who looks for every little thing not to like. I like to sit there in the cinema and immerse myself in the audio and visual experience.
Can't wait to see it again.

Did I miss some news today? Saw comments of Zack leaving or something, I hope that's not true.

Anyway, just got our of my 3rd. It just gets better every time

No offense, and i know this is off-topic, but i gotta ask: Why do people who complain about haters get so many warnings, but i don't see the same being done with people who poke fun at those who defend the movie? In the BO thread they have been making plenty of remarks towards the people who defend the movie in this thread but i don't see them getting warnings. There are a bunch of users that have done nothing other than making fun of everything related to the movie and they don't seem to be getting the same kind of treatment. I was really just wondering...

Well, i see people saying they want him out, but there's nothing official, i think.

We have been regularly infracting people on both sides of the argument since the movie opened. I posted a warning against people making assumptions about why people are posting positive things about the movie in another thread just a few hours ago, and I know there was another clean-up of off-topic and offending posts in the Box Office thread earlier today. We're doing our best, is all I can say. There's just a lot of this stuff to wade through.

Came back from second viewing! Now they I know the story, the weird and choppy cutting didn't really stand out at all. I know some will say that this is a movie that needs to be watched more than once to really be appreciated. But I do hope they fix that problem in JL. Most movies only get one chance to make a good first impression. Even though I love this movie, I gotta say that this is one of it's faults.
