There's a sign saying "Dark Knight."

I made the first session this morning. Met quite a few interesting people.
Once I finish a few errands, I will upload some of the photographs taken. Terrific experience - enjoyed every moment of it, even if I am not selected. I wish luck to everyone who went today and those who are attending the upcoming sessions.

Cool. is your group the last? or were they taking more? there are thousands there, but the ballroom only fit, what 500-550 people? so a lot of people had to wait outside.

I literally saw people from my highschool there, tons of people I knew from all around, word had really gotten out I suppose. About 40% of the room raised their hands when asked if they were extras before, I figured that wasnt so good for me and inexperienced fellows.

Experience as an extra doesn't matter at all. I work as a Background PA often and I get people all the time who have never done it before. A lot of people only do it once because they don't realize how much sitting around and doing nothing is involved. But obviously for this movie a lot of people won't care about that, they'll be focused on those few moments they actually are on set.

So don't worry, Spidey. They will/won't hire you based on what look they are going for.

A ton. They didn't give a specific number but they made it sound like they would be hiring thousands. I was worried initially that I had no chance, but they made it sound like virtually everyone had a very realistic chance.

Here are some of the photographs. Found out at the last minute that the camera did not have the SD card, so I had to rely on internal memory for barely a dozen shots. I'm the guy in the white dress shirt and jeans in the middle photographs. Wish I had learned the names of the two guys in front of me, in the suits. They were hilarious.

Nice, thanks for that picture, I wanted to snap one but my line was moving pretty hastily, i was in the first group in so didn't get a chance to really look around.

Also if they are looking for about 2000 people as extras, there were 2000 there alone today, if not more haha, and tomorrow and next week that will probably double. So you can figure your chances by that I suppose.

Id just pray a lot of people don't respond to their calls or cant make the given date, because Ill be free everyday.

Also their shooting schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, I thought that was pretty cool, so when news is hitting it will be on one of those days haha.

Now that this casting call has become so well known and it is only going to get even more exposure, how many more auditions will they will be taking?
I can't imagine they will need the several thousands they are getting and will continue to get.

I apologize for how huge those pics are, btw.

So Pittsbugh has been great so far. Ate at a restaurant I saw on Man vs. Food, ate at another that used to be a church, saw the Carnegie museum, the Warhol Museum (sucked), Three Rivers Arts Festival, a gay festival that wasn't very gay nor festive, and I did a lot of other stuff too but can't really remember it all. I'm exhausted. Going back to St.Louis tomorrow morning.
The casting process was rough. Just got herded around like cattle. Luckily I got in before they took a lunch break and it got too hot outside. There were some really beautiful girls auditioning but Tammy, the one in charge, said that most of the extra roles are for dudes. Yurka, did you see that blonde in the jean vest? Ridiculous! There was also one guy in a full policeman's uniform. Dunno if he was a real cop or not.
Anyway, I recommend a trip to Pittsburgh. I enjoyed my vacation. This town really loves football, ketchup, and dinosaurs.

She was right behind me! The stares she kept getting was one of the only things keeping me from going insane.

Wait in a long line, fill out a form based on our measurements, skills etc.. then get our picture taken. It was so damn difficult...

Pretty much. They said they'd need alot of male "actors" because many of the scenes where they need a large group of extras are set in prisons and "police scenes".

Thanks thats all i wanted to know. So wearing like a police costume probably wouldnt increase your chances of getting picked?
