Something tells me being a prisoner would be the most interesting scenes to be an extra in. I want to be a prisoner but I dont possess any prison inmate attire, I wonder if an orange shirt would suffice? I'll probably just end up wearing nice pants and a nice shirt though.

Yeah, showing up in an inmate jumpsuit or policeman's uniform just doesn't seem like an option haha. With the nice shirt and pants you get the point across that you can handle buisnessman, officer, or guard. Also, emphasize that you're willing to shave your head or grow a beard if they need more criminals haha

I'll be in Pittsburgh this weekend for this. Gonna be quite the trip from St. Louis. Who here is attending? We need to have a SHH rally.

Does anyone have any idea how the filming with extras would work if one was selected? I just wondered if they would give you a week's notice or a couple of days notice...hard to get up to Pittsburgh quickly without any warning.

In the previous link its says if you're selected they'll contact you at the end of June or early July at the earliest.

It depends on the production and casting companies. When I did The Dark Knight, I had about 2 weeks of lead time. I just finished doing a series called "Boss" (to be on Starz in October), and for my first call it was only a day's lead time.

Once you're confirmed to be an extra, they'll either give you a phone number and date to call, or will call you, usually the day before you're supposed to shoot. That call will give you the details of your shoot (your scene, where you need to go for parking, holding, etc, what clothes to bring, etc).

Good luck, and if you haven't already, google background actor or movie extra for basic tips on what to expect and what's expected of you.

Since, I got 15 days of vacation I am hoping to drive up to Pitt maybe I'll be able to get some pics if I do go. Maybe, Bale throws out a first pitch at a Pirates game.... maybe not he'll be to busy at night!

This is all very nerve racking, It seems as if thousands of people will be there. I have no experience with being an extra so Im sure a lot of you have an upper hand. Sucks.

Whats the best time to go? when is everyone going? Im planning on trying to get there at the 9am session on saturday. Ill have to catch a bus into downtown.

I am thinking of either the Sunday session or one of the ones next week. I worked till 1:30 am today and there was no way i was going to make it back into town today by 9. even still i work downtown so i may end up seeing some of the filming anyway. I would love to get a picture of the bat signal over the Burgh skyline.

Just got a room at the omni. Front desk said they've been getting not enquiries about the casting call than check ins today. They expect it to be packed.
This city has a hell of a museum by the way. Gonna check out the Warhol museum tomorrow and get a pic next to my real life avatar (if that piece is on display).

Haha, nice! So the Omni is packed with people coming in from out of town? I'm planning on getting there around 8:30-45 tomorrow just to be safe.

Warhol Museum is the cats ass, check out the Zoo if you have time in town also, most underrated Zoo in the country.
