Got that message earlier too. I'm thinking of wearing shorts under my jeans. Then inbetween takes I'll drop my drawers. That's not illegal is it? :)

I'm getting sort of excited about what signs we can bring. Hope to create & bring something cool to be seen on film.

Dang, that's awesome! Can't believe I missed it...ad the trucks rolling through Pittsburgh! Thinking about checking out some of the locations tomorrow. Walked around the CMU buildings tonight, security is pretty relaxed there, but really nothing to see. I took some pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them, but it's nothing crazy.

Yea I can't believe it myself. I never thought I'd see something Batman related like this in my city. :awesome:

After I took about 20 pics of the batsymbol on the building, I walked around and scouted some of the other downtown locations/streets that will be closed in the coming weeks. Nothing going on right now. I imagine the first stuff will be shot will include the prison break at CMU, and the riot sequence there. I live literally right next the major streets they're covering in snow and closing so it will be almost impossible (hopefully) for me to miss that stuff. However the stuff at CMU is on the other side of the city for me and I'm rarely over there so if I get wind of anything I will go over.

They're shooting inside and outside a Lawrenceville building this Friday. Their last shoot will be at the Frank Bryan Cement Plant in McKees Rocks Aug 21. Other new locations are Trinity Cathedral, Steel Plaza, and Wabash Tunnel.

The Trinity, Steel Plaza, and Wabash stuff is all new to me, thank you very much :up:

I've been craving more gothic architecture in these films and it makes me ecstatic to see they're planning to use the Trinity cathedral. Steel Plaza will look amazing on screen and I'm sure they have great plans for the Wabash tunnel. I'm very happy to see all this coming together right now :woot:

I'll probably swing by the CMU set tomorrow after work and see if anything is going on.

I saw that. My friend's brother lives on the street where the filming is going down in Lawrenceville, he said it's blocked off well in advance so it's hard to even get close to where they are filming. I'll go down on Friday still and see what I can see.
 
Here's some pictures I took today of the CMU sets, still looks basically the same, no big equipment yet, which surprises me since they will be filming on Saturday!! I did notice the black markings on the columns, pretty sure they weren't that dirty before...prep for an explosion?


 
So my cousin (also a big Bat-fan) calls me up tonight and asks me if I want to drive to Pittsburgh for the stadium scene at Heinz Field. He lives about two hours away so we are going to drive in from his place. That's IF we get an email, because right now they are on "stand by only."

My question is, what are the odds of getting in on the shoot, now that we are just signing up and they are on stand by only? I'm guessing not too good, but what do I know. Do you guys think that they will open up more spots (it said that they were trying to on their signup page)? Has anyone else here at the Hype signed up after stand by only and gotten an email back?

I haven't signed up, but I'm willing to bet that there will be at least a few people that back out at the last minute when they look at the weather forecast. I think you're chances are still pretty good.

I have no clue, Lawrenceville has a bunch of little shops and bars, and one maaaassive cemetary. The only really massive buildings I know of there are schools, maybe this will be the setup for the "St Swithuns" scene? I know they were trying to cast teenage boys here in the previous months, and I recall during their scouting period they looked at schools. If I were a betting man, my money would be on a school.
 
Damnit I missed that sign on the building, was that tonight??? Hopefully it will stay there for a bit so I can get down there and snap a pic for myself.

Im right by CMU (about 5 minutes away) So ill try and walk down there saturday when they are filming, if I could just hear anything ill be a walkin on rainbows.

WB better have a chill out tent just in case a few people get heat exhaustion. I'm thinking of some buying linen pants for the shoot.

For the entirety of the next week I'm going to be walking on air, I'm so excited. Heading Into the Pitt on the 5th and I hope to hell whomever wins the Premiere raffle posts here.
 
so how about this press conference, it isnt public is it? Wasnt there one in chicago years ago that had the tumbler there and such? It was more of an event or something. What about us in Pittsburgh?
