Whats everyone's fave dwarf?

I'd have to go with Bofur, Balin, Kili and Fili.

And of course, Thorin.

Thorin by far. As it should be too.

So I'm seeing this again in IMAX, should I prepare myself for a huge difference apart from 3D from the 24FPS?

Oh and what trailers is everyone getting with the flick? The only good one I got was Pacific Rim.

Thinking back to something else I really liked, I love all the odds to modern and real world ideas. Plumbing, golf, etc.

Very Hobbit.

Thorin by a few miles. However, other then him, I really, really liked Dwalin, Balin, and Fili. Kili wasn't have bad either, even with the lack of beard.

I didn't get MoS, I know that. :cmad:

I had Pacific Rim, the original one for The Host (Which I thought was weird), Oblivion, The Croods, After Earth (which looked horrible), and a hilariously bad one for Beautiful Creatures.

I feel your pain. I kept waiting for the MOS trailer never saw it. They showed 7 trailers. Almost all of them looked pretty terrible.
Anyway I'm glad you liked the film. :)
My favorite dwarves were Thorin, dwalin, balin. bofur, kili, ori, and bombur.

Business was steady for The Hobbit last night. We certainly did not sell out, and the first set of shows were half-full at best. It definitely picked up later on during the day (certainly during the 4:40 and 7 p.m. shows which were 80% full), but we did not sell out for the 2D and 3D showings.

I think $300M domestic is going to be harder to achieve this time.

I like Dwalin too. Big guy :p
Loved his hair in the flashback. He looked like a total warrior.

Something i've been thinking about is that to me this film has the best visual style of any film this year. LOVED the cinematography. Especially the scenes at rivendell. Beautiful

Yeah, I had a lot of trailers as well. Pacific Rim was the last one, which I loved, but I kind of disappointed in seeing it because I wanted MoS more then any others.

I've seen it online, but seein a trailer in a theatre is a different beast

Nice to hear you enjoyed it Darth.

I'm seeing it tonight in 48fps.

Remember, it's pretty much got the entire Christmas season to itself. There's no competition next weekend. It's really the only family film choice over the holidays.

I don't have many screens near me playing it in 48fps. But I will be near one mid-week. I am curious about yours and others review on the format. Now that I have seen it, maybe I will give it a chance.

I will be seeing Jack Reacher thank you very much. After seeing the Hobbit again of course.

Saw it last night and I really liked it. Azog didn't always have the most convincing CGI, but he was badass nontheless! A pretty memorable villain and I'm excited to see what he does in the next movie. Loved the troll fight and the stone giant scene... "Why is that mountain parting...? Wait, that's no mountain. They're on a stone giant's legs!" Another scene I loved was when they actually showed Bilbo pitying a crying Gollum. Ever since Gandalf mentioned it to Frodo, I've always wanted to see that.

The Smaug prologue was also fantastic. Can't wait for DoS. I loved that it wasn't as dark as FOTR was, and had more of a colorful tone to it. Something else I had hoped for and was happy to see included was using the "Moth in Isengard" theme from FOTR when Gandalf talks to the moth in that tree.

Bofur was my favorite. The scene where he tossed Bombur that sausage had me cracking up along with his "Think furnace... with wings!" line to Bilbo.

Balin is a close second while Thorin comes in at third for right now. These placements may change when the next movie comes out, though.

Thanks.

Yeah for me I always try to see it in a new format for big films (IMAX, 3D, 48fps, ect) because when I buy the blu ray I can watch it in 2D as many times as I want.

It is a good point. IMAX is the only format that I am willing to watch a film the first time that isn't the standard way, but after seeing the film I am more willing to experiment.

Yeah, I was surprised since I expected Bombur would be the funniest. I don't really remember him speaking much, though.

Did Bombur talk? I don't think he actually did, or at least he didn't have a line that wasn't banter.

With Bofur, I loved his moment with Bilbo in the Misty Mountains. It was very honest and heartfelt. Nesbitt was great. An oversight when making my list.

I'm really encouraged to see how much most of you enjoyed it. I think I will see it after all, and just go in with low expectations.

I think more so then any of the films so far, if you are a fan of the material, you will enjoy it. If you aren't, the problems will be more glaring. But if you are fond of the material, there is a lot of fun to be had.
