The figure looks better than the movie kind of. =/
i hope there is a realistic looking figure of paul giamatti included![]()
Yeah I thought Rhino was more than fine! His part was written exactly as he should have been. A villain who Spidey can mess with jokes, and still opposes a physical threat. Didnt mind him at all.
Jesus Christ, give me a break....these villain need to be written and taken seriously. A real villain is not going to be comic relief, a joke. They don't have millions of dollars of equipment & weapons to be the butt of some wise-cracking joke.
Villain are suppose to have real motivation, agendas, serious, with criminal & deadly intent. Why are many of you settling for this crap, making immature excuses, to justify your hope in the film success. I felt like this was made for kid 16 and younger...like a live action 90's cartoon. The best thing Raimi did was the fight scenes, the best thing Webb did was the Peter/Gwen dynamic....other than that, everything else, is garbage as far as I'm concern.
Even Smallville is written more mature than this crap, and that's saying a-whole-lot.

Yeah they were not kidding when they said Paul was a complete slice of ham in this movie. It worked, but I'm glad it was in small doses. I hope they tone it down for TASM3.
The suit was pretty cool though.

It pissed me off Rhino is standing around shooting GUNS AND MISSILES and not hitting stuff with his head. They totally screwed the character. He was a big, stupid joke.
Idiot Transformer.

Some villains are just career criminals. Did you trash The Dark Knight because it didn't delve into the past and motivations for Gambol or the Chechyn.
Rhino was a cameo villain to establish the escalation of villains funded by Oscorp and to show that Spidey is back in action after his loss.
They were made up mob characters, not notable Batman villains. The motivation of the mob was well established since Batman Begins. They wanted to run the city through crime and corruption. Buying the Cops, Judges etc and taking out anyone who stood in the way of that like Batman and Dent.
Rhino was used a cartoonish device to show the set up of the Sinister Six, and draw Spidey back out of his rut. Considering he's a notable comic book villain, one from the classic Stan Lee days, and this was his debut as a movie character, he deserved a lot better treatment than that.
People often complain about villains being sympathetic instead of just villainous. Rhino was that.
What in your fine fellows opinion should they have done with his motivation and backstory?
In my opinion some characters work best as jobbers. They added a sympathetic storyline to Sandman with his sick daughter and it just fell flat.
