Don't forget "Cuckoo's Nest". :hehe:

I see her dying at the hands of Samaritan midway through next next season though (Im guessing it would be another 3 parter just like Carters Death and should raise the stakes in what they dealing with at the end of season 4),my guess is Samaritan will probably only go online at the end of this season.

The next time they kill a major character, I think I'd prefer they didn't play it the same way they did with Carter, what with the whole "One hero will fall" tagline and the three episode arc leading up to the moment. I don't want anything telegraphed like that was. I want a genuine shock.

I kind of want it to happen out of the blue with no warning.

Amy Acker Tells Us About The Evolution Of Root On Person Of Interest

Finch has his Machine Gang, consisting of Reese, Shaw and sometimes Fusco. And now, it looks like Root has a Gang of her own — last night, we met one of them, the Japanese forger who's been with Root since she saved him from the cops. Acker tells us that there are more members of her team, and "we're actually shooting some scenes with those guys." In general, you'll see more of the numbers that the Machine comes up with turn out to be important later on
.

god, I just LOVE Amy Acker AND Root...

she just really DOES add depth and dimension to the show...
But it's surprising how many fans, especially the female ones, don't like her due to her taking away a lot of time from Reese and Finch and them seeing her as a bad replacement for Carter. I've started warming up to her as she's shown some growth in her humanity.

Another great episode. I love how they're developing Root.

here we go again... the idiot contingent that just can never deal with development and change... :whatever:

Seems like most have eased up on Shaw some, but I still see the occasional "JONAH NOLAN IS RACIST BECAUSE HE KILLED OFF CARTER" posts.

That's sad to hear. I'm female and I absolutely LOVE both Shaw and Root. Even when Carter was still around. Come to think of it, POI is one of those few shows where I don't dislike any character.

It's a good thing POI is not like other shows who live and die with the louder opinions of the fans. I mean, look at Supernatural. They can't maintain a female character because of how the fans unreasonably hate them just because they're "getting in the way" of Dean/Sam. I remember being disappointed when Bella was axed only to be surprised that the others were actually happy about it. :funny: It's a good thing it all worked out for Lauren Cohan.

Same here. I never understood the hate for those two in some areas of the internet.

It's eird to me that women viewers would hate Shaw and Root, two of the most complex female characters on TV, neither of which are cookie cutter or defined by the men in the show.

I know. You'd think they'd love women who take charge and aren't afraid to mix it up with the guys. I think some it has to do with them being introduced as heartless, emotionless killers and/or them being seen as direct replacements for fan favorite Carter. While Root has taken some time for me to warm up to (due to her initially being an enemy to Finch and Reese and me not trusting her motives), I've like Shaw pretty much from the first episode she was introduced in.

Pretty messed up to learn that Root orchestrated that shooting to take out Cyrus company. Almost forgot that Root used to do stuff like that before she got access to the Machine.

My guess is a lot of the hate has more to do with these characters potentially threatening their "ships".

I totally forgot about it. :funny:

Finally saw last week's great episode. Root's progression from villain to crazy chick hero has been great. I saw the implant coming as well. Root may see John as hired muscle, but he did track her down when Finch was kidnapped. But Finch is her opponent really, not John.

Yeah, I think it's more a matter of her being interested in battle of wits instead of physical battle.

I love how this show has cut most of the filler. [BLACKOUT]I was expecting a bit of a filler episode, but I absolutely loved how they tied it into the main plot. And the scenes with Greer were outstanding.[/BLACKOUT]

Also, was it just me or was [BLACKOUT]Reese shooting the guy in the leg after he was twirling his knife a Raiders reference?[/BLACKOUT]

That final scene between Root and Greer was brilliant and made me start to wonder after the offer he told her. [BLACKOUT]what if Root, observing Samaritan's cold and logical constructs which does not give a damn about people, decides that's the one true ''God'' after all and decides to play for the other team?[/BLACKOUT]

I'm sure Root turns because she sees Greer being ruthless and greedy while Finch is all the things that Greer isn't. I think Root has turned a corner with her humanity that she's not trusting of someone like Greer.

kinda like she'll come to the belief that Samaritan is the 'true god', while the Machine is the 'false god'?... at this point, I'd sure hate to see Ms. Groves turn against Team Machine, as she's proven herself to be an extremely valuable asset and member of the team...

Yeah they have done a great job building her up this season, and it would all seem like a waste of time, esp since she has been recruiting her own little team.
