Person Of Interest - Part 2

I love how this show often has me going in off the preview expecting a filler episode (ex. this one, Most Likely To...) and then makes it actually really important. I feel like I should kinda expect it by now, but I'm surprised every time.

It was great to see Samaritan's recruitment process.

I loved the new graphics in the intro and the tweak to the voice over was cool.

Can't wait until Team Machine faces off against Team Samaritan. I'm guessing Samaritan's going to be adding a few more members over the season.

That was one hell of a great episode reminded me of a more updated version of ''War Games''.

Team Machine
Finch
John
Root
Shaw

Team Samaritan
Greer
Martine/Katrina/Alicia/Isabella
Claire

what?... you don't consider Lionel a part of the team?... he made an important contribution tonight...

Like clockwork another fantastic episode. This show continues to raise the bar for itself.

-Really like how Finch repurposed the old subway line. There are just so many old subway lines and maintenance tunnels under NYC for Samaritan to keep watch over so it's not surprising that the Machine would lead Finch and Co. to one.

-What started out as a case I thought would possibly be filler, the writers came up with another story that was able to sneakily connect into the bigger fight between the machines. You can tell we're starting to see the beginnings of the recruitment of assets that Nolan and Plageman said would occur as the machines try to counteract one another.

-I'm real curious as to what Root has been doing since they had to go into hiding since she popped in and out of tonight's episode to help the team while seemingly doing something else for the Machine. She sort of did the same thing in the premiere as well so hopefully we'll get an episode showing the full extent of her activities.

I think by the mid point of the season.........their identifies will be located by samaritan and the war starts......are we assuming this entire season will be an all samaritan vs machine war? or will we get a new storyline

There is apparently going to be 2 storyline the main one obviously involving Samaritan and the team trying to eventually shut it down and then the storyline involving a new gang called ''The Brotherhood'' lead by some guy named Dominic.

oh I do ,sorry should have made it clear I was referring to the team who knew of the machines existence.

The season started very promising indeed.
I love their new old school safe place.

They now have their very own ''turtle lair''

Person of Interest: "Nautilus" Review

So even though Claire ultimately rejected Finch's offer, and wound up finishing the game (discovering an all-powerful guardian angel in the process), Finch was still able to re-discover his own purpose and introduce Reese and Shaw to their new (old) subterranean train station hero base. Because once he saw how Samaritan was actively recruiting lost souls - lost brilliant souls, no less - he took major exception. All of a sudden he did have to pick a side, knowing that Samaritan could easily seduce most people out there looking for a higher purpose. The old Hellraiser movie tagline "Angels to Some, Demons to Others" sprang to mind actually.

Tour the new secret headquarters on 'Person of Interest'

Something viewers might not notice immediately is the sheer expansiveness of the new headquarters. It’s a series of stations with “places where they can live, where they can stay underground for a long time, even an armory for Reese, all located somewhere in this labyrinth,” says Butler. And as for characters planning to spend the night? “There’s an emergency cot, but as of yet, nobody’s sleeping over…and nobody is sleeping together. But you didn’t hear that from me!”

They mentioned Claire's parents died a few months ago. Anyone think Samaritan may have engineered their deaths to for Claire to seek it out and join?

Doesn't hurt.

That's good, right?
It is and very similar to what they were getting last season and this season's premiere. I think it gets those type of DVR ratings because of its later time slot, the serialized nature of the show, and the competition it faces now.

Her parents died last Thanksgiving, I think Samaritan was offline at the time (was around the time of the episode ''The Devils share'')

I love how each season opens more possibilites and the show doesn't feel stranded. The concept has been expanded without losing the essence.

I just realized Claire was the daughter in that terrible show ''Hostages''

Doesn't anyone wonder why Samaritan doesn't just recruit from within Decima? I mean their operatives were throwing themselves of buildings. Isn't that kind of loyalty Samaritan is looking for? They couldn't all be muscle.

Is Claire the equivalent of Root?

yes it seems that way, Claire is a more darker version of Root and Martine is more of an equivalent to Reece/Shaw.

Holy hell Finch was a total bad ass in this episode

''thats cause I only have 2 modes Jerry, calm and furious''

They're financed and armed. Let's go!

I'm sure Reese and Shaw will be happy with the new toys they found. Plus, they now have some money to furnish their new Bat-Cave and not live such barebone lives in their new identities. With the way the Machine is coming up with ways to replenish the team's resources, it'll be interesting to see what its endgame will be.

It was finally nice to see Fusco have some sort of personal life again and his little conversation with Cooper at the end could possibly mean we see him again.

great episode I love the different pairings tonight. I have always liked the chemistry with Shaw and Fusco. They always have this banter that is always really fun.

Finch was in full Benjamin Linus mode in this one!
