How are the ratings this week? Should we start being scared of possible cancellation?

rating have been down but still in no danger of cancellation, if anything they will probably move it to another day.

Good... Thanks! I don't care what day it is as long as it's not cancelled. :woot:

POI coming to Netflix next year is a pretty significant deal.

This show is basically going in the direction of the Forbin Project ( a film which Jonah and Greg mentioned numerous times to be a fan of)

Tanks for that. Just watched it. Very good.

That would never work Samaritan checks every email, voice message and text sent all over the world.

If it can intercept them before people can read them. The the mail man is going to have a big job on his hands.

Like a soup? Only joking. I think he's a bit beyond caring what the authorities would do to him. If he managed to stop Samaritan, he'd think it worth it.

Not sure what they could arrest him for. His original design was for the government. He's had no part in Samaritan. He hasn't killed anyone. Might have hacked a few things but he was trying to save lives.

Haha....I just looked at what I spelled.

I've always got the impression that Finch realized after he created the machine his life was over. He gave up a lot, but I also think he feels responsible for many of the things that have occured.

That is huge! I have still yet to fully watch the first season.

Getting onto Netflix will be big since it could add fans who didn't initially come on board when the show first premiered. This show is one that makes more sense with multiple viewings or a straight binge watch (network shows are hard to do this with but I'm sure many will end up doing it.) Don't know why WB has been so difficult in getting it to a VOD service.

Holy ****, there's no stopping this show. It just keeps getting better and better :woot:. It was great to learn more about the Machine and Samaritan just keeps getting stronger.

All of the scenes with Root this episode were great. Amy Acker was simply amazing in this episode. And that balcony shootout between Root and Martine was one of the best action sequences on this show .

Man I wish Shaw could talk to me like she talked to Bear. :O

Elias and Scarface meet Dominic :wow:

Their rivalry will be interesting to see play out over this season. Something about Elias' icebreaker speech will likely come back into play and make more sense. Think he basically warned Dominic not to get too greedy or encroach on other people's turf. Also, was anyone else shocked at how many weapons Elias has cached in that vault and warehouse? I wouldn't be surprised to see Reese and Co. borrow some of those to continue their fight against Dominic and Samaritan.

With how Finch bugged that lady, he must know she could be a possible Samaritan takeover. Wondering where he's getting his intel on her and her company.

Looks like I misidentified the weapon Reese was trying to stop the Brotherhood from getting. The weapon is the XM109, a sniper rifle that can fire 25mm grenades from the same distance as M82/M107 .50 Cal sniper rifles. While they said they were disposing of them, I'm wondering if Reese will keep one, just in case Team Machine finds a need for it.

Very good episode last night, the biggest thing I took away from it is that for the first time even Greer looked worried at why Samaritan was so interested in the
Algorithm,I also liked how we got to see a much darker almost "Ben Linus" version out of Finch, and that final scene with him walking away was really powerful (also love the use of the lens flare,as if to remind us that its also a JJ Abrams show)

Good episode. I wonder how Finch knew Samaritan was interested in that lady. And also what Samaritan wants with her algorithms.

Well, might have had something to do with the Machine. Finch said it was time they talked at the end of the previous episode, so...maybe that's what they talked about? Which, if Team Machine is going to have even a snowballs chance in hell of mounting a fight against Samaritan, they're going to have to get ahead of the curve.

It was good to see Elias back in the game. I really like how they're setting the table for a war between him and Dominic. He's such a worthy adversary, that you can practically see Elias enjoying what's to come. Dominic, alot like Elias, seems to look at organized crime like a chessboard and not some adult school yard. Really looking forward to seeing how they continue to clash.

I really liked the almost fanboy nature to Walter in relation to Reese. Making the Batman-esque superhero connections to what Team Machine does, and even how Reese's voice is raspy (kinda like a Keaton bat-whisper if you ask me). I think even Walter asking how come he and Shaw aren't a couple seemed like some fanboy call out to me. It was also the first time I think we've seen the effect that Reese, aka The Man in the Suit, has had on some civilians in the city. This vigilante that seemed to inspire hope, and in Walter's case inspire him into action, was really interesting to see.

Finch was a badass in this episode, too. That ending with him walking like a boss towards the camera with the lens flare, it was pretty cool to see.

I thought this was going to be a fun stand alone ep with Reese and the have a go hero and Finch's mini romance in Japan, but in the end both stories tied into the two main overarching plots of this season, great stuff from the writers yet again.

Honestly, I kinda expected it. I mean, do they even do standalone episodes anymore? :hehe: It always seems to connect to the main story somehow.

Yeah. I think they've done well with having what feels like a case of the week and still continuing to the season narrative.

Sigh. I guess they're going to take next week off. Can't lie, I'm already itching for a fix knowing they're taking a week off.

Fincher is fighting back! I love it. That shot at the end of him with his Ben Linus on? Amazing. :awesome:

The only thing that would've made this episode even greater is if Reese said something like "More copycats last night, Finch". I enjoyed Walter a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing him again.

The Elias/Dominic showdown looks promising too. Anyone else having a bad feeling that Elias won't make it by the end? :(

Honor Among Thieves

is Root Jelly? lol

As the synopsis for "Person of Interest" Season 4, episode 7 "Honor Among Thieves" teases, Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi) is going to be the first main character on the series who seriously risks being detected by Samaritan. According to Shahi, the ending of this episode will be a turning point that thrusts "Person of Interest" in a whole new direction.

"Without trying to give away things that happen in future episodes, the s*** is going to hit the fan as it always does. It is going to get messy and it is going to get dirty. There's some roller coasters that are coming up ahead," she says. "Samaritan keeps getting stronger, keeps getting more power, keeps having more operatives out there. We've alluded to this last year, the dueling gods. Things are going to escalate."

Despite a game-changer finale in Season 3, Shahi acknowledges Season 4 has started fairly "formulaic," with Finch (Michael Emerson), Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Shaw still finding ways to help irrelevant numbers while they're undercover. But she says Season 4 won't "stay this formulaic way for too long," as the season escalates quickly after episode 7.

"['Honor Among Thieves' is] going to lead to some much bigger issues that are going to change the show in a big way, I think," Shahi says. "The journey is going to happen quickly. It's not going to be drawn out. In reference to what I know ... there's not going to be too many cliffhangers. It's going to come at you pretty fast."

Looks likes Shaw's cover is going to be blown since her former trainee couldn't delete it fast enough. Plus, I bet we see him again after Samaritan discovers he's a bit of traitor in not killing Shaw. They'll probably stick his partner with the duty of killing him and Team Machine will work to keep him alive. They may or may not try to turn him into another team member.
