Person Of Interest - Part 2

Im betting she is in a blacksite halfway around the world.

I'm doubting she'll be back, considering she said she's planning to take 2 years off to raise her twins. By that time, the show would be pushing near the 6-season limit of how long Nolan and Plageman said they had planned. I can't see the show lasting much longer now that they're having to reconfigure the show's cast again and where they've taken the story so Shahi is as good as gone.

She's having twins?
In her EW.com interview, she confirms it and was one of the main reasons behind her leaving full-time. Had it been just a single one, the producers thought they could write around it and she could handle the time commitments. But with twins, they decided it'd just be too difficult. It'll be interesting to see how they compensate for not having another developed female character on the show and the limits it puts on Team Machine and the rest of the cast.

I wonder if we'll be getting a new cast member then.

Still holding out hope that maybe she's not dead especially since the preview for next week got my hopes up but I think I'm getting my hopes up for nothing, considering the twins and all. :waa:

She said she's leaving the show so likely next week is going to be her final episode until or if she comes back. With the cast and storyline, they're going to have make do with who they have left, bring a completely new character(s) in, or bring back characters that were introduced earlier (my money is on the agent that knew Shaw.) At some point, they have to get a handle on the cast arrangement because it's getting a bit old that they have to keep replacing someone mid-season. I'm not sure how many more hits this show can take before it becomes a shell of itself and the ratings really take a nosedive.

If they keep killing off fan favorites. Its only a matter of time before fans turn on the show. They better have an end game in mind. Before its 2 late

Person of Interest has never had a problem introducing strong female characters. I trust the POI team. This is one of the most consistently well written shows on TV right now. And Donut quit acting like they're killing off someone every week. lol These were circumstances beyond their control. Family should come first.

Well, that's depressing. I didn't know about her being pregnant with twins and actually leaving the show. I'm going to miss the hell out of her. :waa: More so than Carter actually (who I loved as well). Hmm... I'm definitely curious now on how they will phase her out of the show. Will it be as simple as them being too late and her still dying or will they do something like she has to leave and hide (fake her death maybe?) because Samaritan is on to her even more or what not?

I don't know what can trigger it but maybe Martine can join Team Machine. :hehe:

BTW speaking of covers, does this mean that Samaritan now knows that Fusco is Team Machine? The guy is screwed. He's the only one still using his real identity.

Yesterday's episode was so intense. One of my all-time favorites of the series.

yeah I doubt she is coming back,Like you mentioned both Nolan/Plageman have said that this show has a endgame and I feel we are now at the halfway point of the show.

Well we are expected to see the return of those 2 agents in an upcoming episode (Grice/Brooks) wouldn't surprise me if one of them joined TM

His identity is safe for now as Harold mentioned earlier in the episode that the Exchange has a closed circuit cctv which neither machine could access, until they hacked it which allowed the machine view its feeds

True plus I know the whole "I thought you were DEA" exchange was just in the 1st simulation so it's not real but you would think Martine would've seen and recognized him though holding back Root in the elevator when she was about to shoot Shaw (unless she's so fixated on Shaw that she didn't spare the others a glance).

loved the simplified simulation, the generic dialog was awesome

Reece "cooly delivered sadistic warning"

Fusco:"self-deprecating inquiry into time necessary to infiltrate system"

Root:"funny, yet insightful retort"

Finch:"mildly agitated declaration of mission completion"

"gentle exhortation to further action"

Root:"overly affectionate greeting"

Shaw:"greeting"

Root:"transparent rationale for conversation"

Shaw"annoyed attempt to deflect subtext"

Root:"overt come-on"

Shaw:"mildly embarrassed defensiveness bordering on hostility"

Root:"playfully witty signoff"

from what I can tell she was too fixated on Shaw,by the time she is by her body the elevator doors were about to shut.

Totally a wink-wink to the audience. The machine knows them all so well. I love how she ships Root and Shaw and she knows how to have fun in her simulations. I still laugh whenever I remember that the machine had Fusco kiss Root in one of her simulations. :funny:

Yeah that's the likeliest scenario assuming his cover is still safe. We'll find out soon I guess.

Im willing to bet that was done by the writer Denise Thé who is a big fan of Kevin Chapman (she was also responsible for writing last seasons best episode '' The Crossing'' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3291628/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_1 which Chapman knocked it out of the park with his performance.

Denise The did write last night's episode. She also wrote the episode where Carter died, which made the producers joke that no one is safe when she's writing.

Can't say I am the biggest Shaw fan. But she had some really awesome moments and do hope we haven't seen the last of her.

I was just talking with a colleague about how much I loved Shaw ( he is a Root guy ) and this episode, Le Noooooo !
Now excuse me while I will dive in a glass a Scotch.

I hope Shahi at least makes an appearance every now and then. I really liked Shaw and I'll miss her as being part of the main cast.
