Next episode is Feb 3rd.

:argh:

WHAT!? Nooooooooooooooo :csad:.

Anyway, another good episode. Looks like Team Machine might be getting some new allies with Control and Shaw's old agent friend.

Agreed . One day soon Samaritan will push Control too far and
I reckon she ll turn to Finch to help shut down Samaritan.
Control is possibly the most dangerous person on the show,
shes as ruthless as Greer, almost as deadly as Reese and
even crazier than Root with her fanatical devotion to US
security.

Yeah the kid was good for one episode, imo I was kinda surprised the machine didn't use Claire Mahoney as its avatar instead

This is the girl from Hostages that won the treasure hunt game Samaritan set yup right? If so then yes, she is who I expected to become Samaritan's Root, with the Ice Queen as their version of Shaw.

That makes total sense. Samaritan still doesnt have a Finch analogue, assuming Claypool is actually dead. Personally I like the kid, he's appropriately creepy.

Hopefully the "nautilus" girl will show up again. We 're only halfway through the season.

Even tho he doesnt know about the machine, yet, Fusco must be in danger - didnt he show up on some of Samaritan's screens? And some of Decima's goons must have spotted him by now.

Looking forward to every episode.

I think that Samaritan chose the kid because it knows that people are far less likely to shoot the messenger when he's a kid. Also, if an adult had done the things that the kid did in the White house he would have been arrested on the spot.

Tru dat 😊

wow, I just happened to watch the very first episode of Supernatural from 10 years ago, and it turns out that Sarah Shahi guest-starred in the episode as Sam and Dean's very first supernatural threat that they faced together... never even knew that till now...

In some ways I see Greer as Finch's opposite number, they are both equally smart, it's just a different kind of smart.

Oh I am sure she'll be back, Samaritan didn't put her in play for no reason and this show is good at not just forgetting pieces of the plot and characters the way some do.

I believe Claire is expected to show up in 2 episodes ,also according to to this synopsis it looks like a former POI is gonna show up in the next episode .

NOT EVERYTHING IS AS IT SEEMS, ON “PERSON OF INTEREST” TUESDAY, FEB 3

Reese and Root’s quest to find Shaw takes them to a small town in upstate New York where it soon becomes clear that not everything is as idyllic as it appears.

Meanwhile, Fusco teams with a former POI to tackle the newest number, on PERSON OF INTEREST, on the CBS Television Network."

My guess its Dani Silva (the internal affairs cop) who Reece helped out earlier this season./

Speaking of old numbers that come back later, still hoping to see Leon and Zoe come back eventually.

Good guess. She's who I'm leaning to as well.

Ditto. Maybe with Shaw gone (for now), they would be used more.

Ashur Grice, obviously, is another that looks more and more likely to be joining the team. I don't thin Brooks will join him though.

I don't think Grice will join the team, but I do think he'll be a recurring character at least for the rest of this season and help them, possibly from the inside. Just not a main cast member.

yeah I too see Grice joining the team (even if temporary) I also don't see Brooks joining the team, she seems too loyal to Research/Samaritan.

Dani would actually be a great addition to the team while Shaw is away.

Fusco had a lot of good moments in season 3, and at the start of season 4.
He's evolved greatly as a character over the show, so it'll be good to see him in more than a very limited supporting role ( currently, he shows up to fire his gun, make some funny comments and that's it ). I kind of fear for his safety, as given his presence at the most recent gunfights with Samaritan, he would bound to be identified sooner or later, and of course sooner or later the team might have to tell him about the machine...... but of course, as someone else said, he might just not want to know, and leave it at that.

On another note, hoping to see some old POI's reappear !

Zoe and Leon are certainly my favourites, but it would be great to see
a few one-off POI's pop up such as:

- Judge Gates from season 1
- Roman Pierce, from season 2
- Andrea Gutierrez from season 1
- The sailor (forgot his name) from season 3

and of course the return of Alistair ( although no doubt the team has bigger
fish to fry so we won't see him for a while).

Also I hope they don't rush to replace Shaw, rather that it feels like a natural addition to the team, rather than a forced substitution. I think Jonathan Nolan and co are smarter than to simply just say "Okay, need a new female ass kicker, find a guest star and slot her in there."
It doesn't seem to be their style (Thank goodness !)

Cheers.

I need a memory refresh. I don't remember if the government still has access to The Machine after it moved itself ?

The Machine would send numbers to them still but they didn't have access. However, now it does not and they use Samaritan.

Thanks.
By "access" I should have said "receiving numbers".
So, no more numbers for the gov since The Machine moved in season 3 correct ?

Too much shows to keep track of, too much details to remember, too small a brain is mine.

Slightly off topic but has anyone watched Citizenfour yet?its a pretty good documentary involving Snowden and the NSA, I believe its up for best documentary at the Oscars this year

I posted this back in November about Dani returning. :)
