Supposedly, when bonded with the symbiote, Peter goes crazy and starts to think that Sandman killed Ben.

In the Ultimate series when Peter got the symbiote he caught a murderer and went crazy thinking that he was Ben's killer screaming, "YOU KILLED MY UNCLE BEN! LOOK AT ME!!"

He also started to look like Venom.

some of you have really stupid cons IMO. and some of you have cons about nothing that's even been confirmed.

yeah. even with things that have been confirmed, i really don't have too many "cons". i have too much faith in raimi. he hasn't let me down before, so i trust him to do the same this time around.

No that's not Sandman that was just a guy working for him. This info is from the script summary that we first saw in January btw.

- Sandman didn´t kill uncle Ben and we all know it. If it happens, as others said, it will probably be a symbiote-induced hallucination, which is actually cool. In some ways, Spidey sees all his enemies as the killer of uncle Ben.

- I´m not a Venom fan, so 10 minutes is more than enough to me.

- What´s a "floozy", I´m not familiar with that expression...

It was the way she was described in the script from January which got the spidey day parade dead on
Im not saying it will turn out that way in the movie that is why the thread says "so far" things that are cons(worries) can become Pros and vice versa over time as more is revealed

maybe the script summary said something like that, but it was also written by a 7 year old that got a hold of the script.

just because he ditches eddie and tries to get with peter (nearly successfully, might i add, being that peter is "under the influence), doesn't mean she's very ****ty. she is there for temptation for peter, but peter will come around in the end and go back to mj.

Yeah, it puzzles me how throughly pruddish some people on these boards are... I remember people calling Lana from Smallville a **** just cuz she wore clothes that showed her belly... At that point of the show (season four) she had had only three boyfriends and hadn´t slept with any of them...

- too many subplots? mj/peter and harry's plots have already been set up in previous films. sandman is the given villian. eddie and gwen add more drama to the mix. and as far as we kow, captain stacy has no true subplot. he's just the captian of the police force. he's not gonna die or anything. so forget that.
- grace will do fine as brock. i'm not gonna even get started on that.
- gwen's role IS needed. do you wanna see the same mj/peter story again? for the 3rd time? "i love you...but i have responsibilities"..."i love you, but you need to be there for me"...NO. that's been done. time to movie on to the next chapter. and creating a love triangle doesn't seem so horrible to me.
- everyone's got a beef with spider-man day. but really...whats the big deal? sure, spidey's not loved in the comics. but he won't be loved in this film, either. the movie will start with spidey being the hero of the city, but once he gets the black suit, everything goes downhill. it'll be a good contrast of the good/bad spidey.
- and kirsten dunst? get over it. you're 3 movies too late on that one.
