You're saying you had to go through 1000 guys just to get one to accept you?

I never said side effect free. :cwink:

I think it was 1,000 guys emailed her and she only accepted dates with 5. However, it being Craigslist, probably900 of those were just looking for a one night stand.

No, she said the only only thing that mattered was that "they" accept her.

If you go through 1000 people, and only meet 5, that means there is a lot more criteria than simply accepting her.

I was Razzing her on that.

. Also, I'd suggest even if you're not super attracted physically to a girl right away if there's something in the profile that stands out personality wise it never hurts to respond if she emails you. If nothing else it's good practice, just make sure things are casual. I went out with some girls I wasn't super attracted to physically, but responded and went out with them anyway, always had a good time and hoped they did, never went past a first date, but that's okay.

I've thought about doing stuff like that out of boredom. I suppose if you keep it casual then it's relatively harmless.

Well, it looks like his penis and his brain are not getting along too well, they both want different things. The brain end was asked what he could do to make it shut up.

no, it's not that, it's that I think I might be a bit of a sex addict, and tbh, I would just like a break from thinking about it. But, it's everywhere, every bozo and his beak I know is throwing their opinion at me and trying to influence me on what I like and don't like, haha, a bunch of rubberneck gossiping busybodies.
Thanks for the info on the pills, but, I don't like the idea of the sideeffect of it making me more emotional, I am emotional enough as it is in this department.
I think I will just stick with taming my penis through willpower, thank you.

You did list some side effects but you missed the most important of all! :funny:

Most of them didn't sound all that interesting and granted, after 1000 responses, you kind of have to start being really picky so you aren't overwhelmed and get mixed up. Maybe that backfired. :funny:

Many of them whom I emailed back didn't reply after I sent a face photo. (The original post only had a body pic of me with my face in profile and slightly hidden.) Hence my determination that I'm a butterface :oldrazz:

Well duh, of course I had to be attracted to them first and they had to pass my not-creepy chat-level test. I'm not THAT desperate. :funny: But I didn't just go for the guys who looked like Brad Pitt and I certainly didn't order them like a "ladder." All the guys I thought were interesting, were interesting in their own way.

Also, WTF is up with guys who don't smile in their personal ad photos? It doesn't make you look attractive, it makes you look like a *****e. Even my bf who certainly isn't perpetually cheery had the forethought to put pics of himself smiling in his POF profile.

The only women I can think of who like guys who don't smile are hoodrats. :funny:

I'm noticing a lot of women on okcupid seem to be studying psychology.

Now if you are the other way around, and you think you should listen to your penis more, then the hromone of choice is my personal favorite:

This stuff will turn our Penis into a Sith Lord with powerful mind control ability.
None of that weak s*** for me.

My doctor put me onto Willard-In-A-Bottle...

OMG the girl that I like "liked" a post on my Facebook! SHE MUST LIKE ME!!!

(sorry, this didn't happen, I just had a flashback to **** I used to do.

:(

It's hard for me to take a smiling photo and look natural , so I don't have any of those on my profiles. At least I show my face though :oldrazz:

My bf too. His posed smiling photos just look pained. :funny: The pics he did have on his profile were taken by other people on the fly. Natural smiles all the way! :awesome:

Everyone has a few photos like that. If you don't, you're even more introverted and hermit-y than my bf and that's REALLY saying something. :lmao:

Well I have pictures of me smiling/laughing that people have taken. Also I smile a lot in person but in profile pics , I smirk.

I have a very strong intuition that not being able to smile naturally in photos indicates a lack of confidence. When I had those issues I was exactly like that. My smiles looked awkward in photos. I usually smirked on profile pictures. Now they are all natural smiles.

Smiles are natural; they're a reaction to something that brings some form of pleasure. Now, unless you really love having a camera pointed at your face, I highly doubt staged photos can have "natural" smiles.

I don't have this problem. Not anymore at least. Seldom do I have a weird looking smile in photos. I think though if someone's smile is weird in photos it's probably not often natural looking in person.

Natural smiles rarely last more than a second, but when you're posing for one, you have to hold it for about 5. I mean, when models get their photos taken, the photographer is always really good at capturing the moment, not relying on the model to hold a pose exactly for 5 seconds. :oldrazz:

My coworker is also doing the online dating thing on OKCupid. He reports he's getting a lot of responses from the photo of him going :awesome: next to a tiny snowman he made. So yes, girls like cute things. Kittens and puppies are a bonus!

The girl he met today was a partier and totally not his type, but frankly he should have seen this coming since she DID have dumb partying photos on her profile. He was just swayed by the shot of her walking up stairs taken from behind. Men. :oldrazz:

I'm going with this one:

Men, Smiles are Out of Style: OkCupid discovered that men who look away from the camera and don't smile have a much higher chance of getting a response than those who look directly into the camera. OkCupid CEO, Sam Yagan, guesses the reason that guys who look at the camera get less messages than those who don’t is because it’s intimidating to women. Valdez says this could be the case but believes it may also have to do with the fact that a typical “customer service photo” pose makes you look like you care too much and are seeking approval. “By not looking,” he said, “you appear stronger and more challenging while simultaneously building aura and mystique.”

I'm sure the :awesome: face is good though. I have a pic like that of me hugging and smiling next to a life sized plastic Santa on Christmas morning in Paris. Some people think it's funny while I think it's too goofy.

Yeah whatever. :oldrazz: My coworker doesn't really need any more aura and mystique though - he's French (very obvious from his name) and has a hot accent. :awesome:

That's seriously one of the most ******ed things I've ever read.

Get a picture with friends, crop out your friends but leave some indication of other people. Don't girls that are in your group of friends take pictures of you? I must get like three or four new photos to choose from a month on Facebook. I feel like that's pretty typical?

Some things work differently for people. I think it all depends on looks. I'm not sure there's any truth to what he's saying but if it justifies my action , so be it.

That's not a bad idea. I don't have much to work with recently though. I don't know many people in this area. Also I don't like pics of me drinking on facebook showing up. I did take pics with a lot of different girls the New Years before last but my friend was drunk and ninety percent of the photos are blurry and you can see I'm wasted.

I've noticed a few doing that and nursing. Even some planning to do teaching, which makes sense because I know how time consuming nursing and teaching can be, so I'd imagine they're only there because they don't have time to go out and meet people as often.

I like smiling. Smiling's my favorite.
