It's doesn't matter what design they use. Nerds will flail regardless.

To me at least, the Robocop visor is such an integral part of his design. If they go with a full visor it just wouldnt look like him. :(

I don't know, the ED-209 redesign got pretty much all good reception.

No doubt there will be one or two that are upset but it seems Robocop fans are a little more lenient :woot:

There was an article on CBM about this and they said this pic is not actual concept art at all, so don't worry... Robo won't look anything like silver Captain Power here.

I'll admit that the suit is the only thing Im really nervous about about this movie. I havent really liked the little blurbs that have been said about it

Yeah, it has me concerned to. But seeing as to how good they made ED-209 look, I'm still optimistic.

Sorry guys, I think the new RoboCop design (if that really is how he's going to look) is fu**ing awesome!

Could this be possible concept artwork for robocop from artist Mike Jensen:

Now remember this is only a possible concept art/design and no word if it is real/final choice of design.

I'd buy that for a dollar!

well hopefully the real deal will blow us all away once its revealed.

I wonder if they're going to depict him being faster in this movie? He walked so slow in the old ones, and I'm sure it had to do with the suits restrictions and the technology of the time, but I liked it for some reason.

What about you guys: fast or slow?

I'll take some increase in speed, but some actual weight would be a breath of fresh air after all these ****ing weightless Transformers and whatnot. The single most exciting bit of info that came out about Pacific Rim was that the Jaegers move as if they have actual mass. We've been inundated with quick moving creatures and robots. It's not impressive in and of itself anymore. We need some clunky-ness.

That design would be ok with some sort of web gear on or a ammo belt

I think he moved slowly partly because of the technological limitations of the time, but also because that was how we imagined robots to move.

I imagine in this version he will be a sleeker and more agile Robocop, which makes it interesting to see how they work in the idea of him being obsolete.

The way the suit, real or fake, looks in that concept art makes Robocop look really flexible and sleek. I'm afraid of what moviedoors mentioned -- the way CGI robots move with a weightlessness. I want to see Robocop movie like, well, a robot, with the weight of metal and not of a man.

The way Robocop moved slowly was harkening back to Frankenstein, Murphy was just made up of parts and made big thumping steps.

So a fast robocop kind of takes away from the freakish creature/robot that Robocop is, or was, or you know...

I don't like this new design, it reminds me of the exosuits in GI Joe Rise of Cobra.

I hope they do something like Neill Blomkamp did with Yellow.

I definitely don't want a "fast" RoboCop, the clunkyness and moderate speed is part of why he is so cool. Now of course with ne technology they can and will speed him up some, but not too much I say.

Well, whatever they do with the speed(which I hope isn't increased too much), I hope they keep the sound effects of him walking. I love the *thud, thud, thud* noise.

Half of Robocop's charm was his methodical movement.

I don't mind if he moves a little faster, as long as they keep that.
