This film is going to fail miserably.

It's just ridiculously low key. People will hardly know of it's existence. No build up, no hype, nothing.

There are dozens of those already. In every position and every angle. Doesn't matter if they're set photos or not because the pics couldn't be clearer.

What they need (and will probably do) is release footage. People (not ones like us on messageboards and news sites every day) will only take notice of a teaser.

It's still six months away from release. They're not gonna start marketing it right now especially with all the summer movies still being front and center. They put the release in February which means they aren't expecting huge box office.

A remake/reboot that has potential; great cast and great director – I'm still with this. First trailer will be very interesting.

The budget is barely under $100 mil (thanks to tax breaks) so it'll at the least break even

IMO that should be the max budget for any reboots like this or original high concept properties

As far as no hype.. Everyone I know knows there is a new robocop being made that's all Sony needs is ppl to have an interest in the character..

If that horrible die hard can make money in feb. this movie should be all fine..

A man turned into a robot and your looking for it to make functional sense lol and that IMO would be an air vent to allow for air to cool him off..

This is the one problem I have is most ppl on the Internet are making such stretches to hate this movie... If you hate a movie for the suit you my friend have no idea how story telling works.

And ppl who say it looks like batman/iron man that's the whole point. It's satire making fun of the movies that have that look as major company in OCP would want to market there killer cop to kids and the best way would be to make him look like batman..

When the movie comes are and we hate the way they told the story I understand hating it but hating it because of damn suit or because they aren't playing tv spots 6 months ahead of release that the movie will suck and not make money.. The first teaser for the new die hard came out in October of last year and that movie as horrible as it was still made money. The post comic con stuff will be where we take this film not set photos.. Some ppl just hate to hate. Sorry their remaking our favorite movies but grow up ppl

The original suit fit that time in the late 80s/early 90s and this new suit fit our time now. It's not that hard to understand the change.

After that god awful PG rated Die Hard I fear this will be a U or something offensive like that.

The new suit isn't any worse than the old one. Both have the flaw of exposed flesh and are otherwise identical. Just hating on it because it's different is not a justification in itself to make this a bad suit.

Personally I loved the one concept suit they showed which is very similar to the final product but it was silver/gun metal color if they had stuck with that I would be happy.

I don't hate the new one but I don't love it either I need to see it in action to make my full opinion. Though I would've much preferred this.

Yeah, I think that concept art looks better than the all black color scheme they went with.
