RoboCop Reboot - Part 5

yea, agreed with ur issues about robocop 2. it was a hollow sequel compared to the original. they had the bad kid just to be offensive for offensive's sake. and the chairman was made into more of a mustache-twirling villian, while in part 1 he was more of a questionable type character.

i was shocked to learn later it was directed by the irvin kirshner, who directed empire strikes back!

You either need to see it on a normal sized screen or take off the rose tinted glasses because that scene is ridiculously easy to see. Very awesomely choreographed.

Yeah, love that Robocop is hiding between ED-209's legs (um, that sounded weird) to minimize the risk of being shot. The bottomless magazines kinda bothers me though.

Liking the clip of Alex dreaming and waking up as Robocop. I think it is a tragedy, although different kind of tragedy to the original. Here, Alex knows who he is and he has a family, but have to deal with him no longer human. His family need to deal with the same issue too. Alex is still alive, in a way, in a robotic body. He is no longer a man. I'm really looking forward to see the movie touching this issue.

Murphy's dream sequence just did it for me. Great camerawork too.

I loved the dream sequence scene. This film is looking promising on that clip alone.

Can't stop watching the private property. Just a great little snippet of action

Just saw the Private Property clip. Looks pretty sweet.

Some of the CGI is still a bit shakey but the action looks pretty awesome nonetheless. Reminds me of Raiden from Metal Gear Rising Revengenace.

Haha I couldn't agree more, but that's not a bad thing. RaidenCop and Gekko 209s! lol. But I love it.

Yea the more I watch it the more I like it to be honest. The action makes more sense. I first watched it on an iPad, but then watched it just now on my tv with full sound... This will be awesome in IMAX!

I read in the SFX magazine that the left handed gun is stored in his arm somehow, probably some CGI involved there. so I imagine the ammo is fed directly into the gun from his palm.

This was idea that was explored with the original style robocop, I think in a comic, I don't remember. He either directly feeds the ammo into the gun from his wrist, or there are magazines stored in his gloves somehow.

Wow I just caved and watched the Clip featuring Keaton and Oldman.

My god Keaton is the man!!!!

yea, keaton is acting like some business-type guys i have seen in real life. very aggressive type personalities. but with that bit of michael keaton flair to his performance.

Ok, that's another awesome scene. I'm becoming slightly more hyped for this film now. Keaton and Oldman killed it.

That clip has some nice camera work. It does feel too video gamey in my opinion.

Oh yeah, that Keaton scene is awesome. I love the hell out of it. It's hard to imagine Hugh Laurie doing it like Keaton did in that scene.

That just speaks highly of how advanced video games are today. They are insane! Comparing it to a video game is no longer a bad thing, as video games are just gushing with creativity, cinema level emotion and action. Some video games BETTER than a good bit of movies now a days.

I saw the B roll footage just now, and so far, so good. I should also say though, remember that guy who posted here that he came from the test screening and described the movie for us? Well, judging from the b roll footage, that guy was right: he did describe the movie, and reading it again, even he mentioned the music from the training scene we were talking about days ago.

OK...I read some posts from other sites and they say that the Private Property looks like a video game. Can anyone please tell what does "looks like video game" even mean? I have seen lots of such complaints (such as on Amazing Spider-Man 2) and I don't think it even make sense. It seems like any fast paced movement or some gravity defying movement (Spider-Man doing acrobatics) will be thrown some random "looks like video game. It sucks" negative complaints. Weird.

And there's one comment even say that ED 209 should not be able to get back up after knocked down by Robocop's bike because that's not how it works. What? You want everything to be exactly the same?

Yup we've discussed that awhile ago. Its not a bad thing haha. The test screenings were real and the entire movie is out there described in light detail. I have everything saved and have been referencing it quite often. The only problem was that the descriptions were not from big Robocop fans, so they couldn't comment on Easter eggs, nods, or differences in suits, etc. So just a basic outline and plot details, step by step of the scenes etc.

People are just unbelievable. I don't understand it either lol. I don't even know what to say on the subject anymore. Its getting so bad that I've come to the conclusion that people either have a brain, or just don't.

I think it looks just phenomenal. Love how everything is being computed before he does it. Live how he gets in and stands underneathe an Ed209 while just blasting the crap out of the other ones. It all looks really cool, just phenomenal choreography in the scene. Have yet to see anything that would make me not like this.

Unless the CGI is RIPD level where it does look like a video game it is usually just someone who is trolling. They may back it up with bad physics or rendering and such but I find it is usually just a troll.
