Days of Future Past Should DOFP be used to reboot the X-Men franchise?

X-force Is more likely to be set In past eather 1970's or 1980's.

Highly doubt this. X-Force is better set in the future. Especially with a character like Cable as a leader.

If the studio wanted to continue with the older cast, McAvoy, Fassbender, Lawrence and Hoult would not be in this movie. The present would be 2016 (stinger for The Wolverine) and the future would be the 2040s. The studio clearly didn't go in that direction.

If they are indeed creating a new timeline In DOFP that's likely so they can continue with FC cast as focus In full X-Men films without having to worry
about anything that went down In trilogy or origins/The Wolverine.

It would make sense for X-force to be set In past to tie In to what will now be
main X-Men films.

And if Magneto and Mystique are no longer villains by end of DOFP they will
need villains for X-Men films.Apocalypse fits that role,and X-Force can Introuduce and set up Apocalypse.

FC3 may very well jump to 1980's.

More people wanted a reboot so they will to certaine xtent get It.But that means most of OT cast are likely done with DOFP.Hugh jackman Is obviously the exception to the rule.

R rated movies like what they wanna do with Deadpool is gonna be a tough thing to get fox to try

Thats fine.Just going by whats been said and not fan speculation. But the fact is, its never been axed and has been said to have made small steps forwards in the past moths. This thing would have been fully ditched by Fox if they were not still interested.

Deadpool's a character that when done right will become a favorite in the series. Knowing Wadlow he'll be identical to how he is in the comics.

Sounds about right. Either way I'm glad by the time X-Force comes out it will have been almost ten years since Origins. More than enough time for people to forget that version of Deadpool.

Deadpool, Moira, Emma...all we need now are reboots of Angel, Juggernaut and Callisto.

Yeah, this is a good point. While I dont think hes great for Angel (may have been X3's issues) I have little doubt he would give us a damn solid performance as Archangel.

Archangel done with the right team and money, with his metal wings, flying all over the air and attacking the x-men or anyone would be f**** Epic.

Yeah, If they tied in the stuff from Dark Angel Saga with Betsy theres a tragedy and personal threat with that character that could potentially make him one of the best X villains out there.

I dont think it will change much given the Deadpool script.

that the end sequence has Logan waking up in the mansion, Cyclops and Jean are alive, and Xavier and Magneto are working together. If Cyclops and Jean are alive, then that means the events of the trilogy never took place, and as such, they have been erased. Given James Marsden's recent interview where he basically confirmed he WAS on that flight with Halle, it now appears that there is truth to the James has a cameo at the end speculation, and as such, truth to the wiping of the main trilogy and the inevitable First Class follow ups are now a reboot.
