Snow White and the Huntsman

I think most people have interpreted it as physical beauty since day one, that's why some of us find it humourous when Kristen is considered fairer than Charlize, not that she's unattractive but relative to Charlize it's night and day. If they want to use 'inner' beauty as a work around that's fine.

kristen is far from ugly she may not be some Victoria secrets super model but she is a very pretty girl and anyway charlize theron's queen slowly ages to decrepit ugly old hag appearance throughout the film

i also think the inner beauty message will resonate even more so with young girls

what young girl does'nt always ask if they are pretty enough i think this innerbeauty message take is a great one

If Kristen wasn't mopey and had some vibrance or outward sexuality about her then she could be hot. She looks and talks like she listens to NIN and is one breakup away from eating all of mommy's pills. Her acting style is the same way...which is why I am hesitant to run to see this movie with her in the lead. I was hoping for someone spunky and cheerful and not mopey. She might as well go hang out with the Queen and discuss what sucks about life.

I will give it a chance for the visuals alone...they look good. Hopefully Kirsten pulls it off but I think Charlize will easily steal the show.

The Queen wants to be the fairest in all the land. You can't be uggo and be the fairest in all the land. If this movie has that message that it's inner beauty and not outer beauty that truly matters and has some Disney-esque redemption or realization then I will vomit. The Queen wants her beating heart meaning out of her meaning deadzo.

If you want that movie then Tarsem made a movie for you.

An inner beauty message is not really that bad a thing.

For Tweens it isn't. I want something different. Disney has the happy ending fairy tale market cornered. Let's see a different take.

while some shots have her with a very sullen or how you say mopey and serious look but she was also scared, imprisoned and running away for her life or in battle

but when she entered the sanctuary with the huntsman and dwarves to see its beautiful scenery and animals Kristen was beaming with light and very vibrant with smiles and emotion

We will see. I'll give her a fair shot but not selling my stock just yet.

She's been more vibrant and personable in her blonde phase. I kind of want her to go back to it.

Well, this movie looks pretty good. I dug Bob Hoskins as one of the dwarves.

And yeah, she does look better as a blonde.

Whoa, she does look better as a blonde. She also looks healthier; not so rail thin.

I hate that Hollywood brainwashes actresses into thinking that they can't eat more than a peanut a day. :(

I've always thought she looked so much prettier as a blonde. She looks far more inviting and warm.

while i originally thought trailer did'nt show the prince i think this might be the prince because in one of those recent BTS featurettes it showed the princes attacking with a bow and arrow

They'll probably downplay the Prince because he didn't really do much in the original tale either. I just hope they don't make him a *****e or anything.

one thing not talked about is that james newton howard is scoring this film i cant wait to hear that

his score was the best part of TLA lol

Well, it really wouldn't make sense if inner beauty comes into play because the queen is obviously rotten to the core, so if beauty is her power, then it has to be outer.

Couldn't the movie be about inner AND outer beauty?
I'm sure it will be, but the original tale was all about outer beauty. Again, I'm fine with this movie changing things from the original tale; I'm not expecting Charlize Theron's queen to dance to her death in cast iron shoes.

Ooooh, really? I hadn't heard that! Yay, he's my fave. And I get two high-profile JNH scores over the next few months (he also scored The Hunger Games)! Hopefully he can make me forget the minor hiccup in his career that was GL.

It's the same thing with Shakira; Shakira looks WAY hotter as a blonde than as a brunette. Hopefully Stewart will get her Blonde Ambition after Twilight has ended.

I believe she has an indie movie coming out this year where she'll act as Mary Lou in "on the road". She'll play a blonde wild and cheerful girl. I'm a bit skeptical of them casting her in that movie but I need to see before giving my opinion.

There wasn't anything wrong with the score for GL though.

It wasn't as bland as the movie itself, but it wasn't up to JNH's usual standards, imo. If the rest of it had sounded more like the track "We're Going to Fly Now," I would've loved it.
