Sequels Spider-Man 5 & 6

It appears this is it for Raimi. Trying to end his run on a better note than SM3. I think this is the right decision. The years in between these films have increased each time. Bringing in some fresh faces is the right direction. Sony needed to look real hard at the future of this aging francise and make some logical decisions. Anyway I am hoping for the best.

I agree, that there is a strong chemical bond that holds together their onscreen chemistry now, that they have filmed three spiderman films together.

Exactly, and I really can't picture a different cast. Now, I might get flamed for tihs, but I feel as though the actors in the S-M films were born to play their roles. It just feels like one great big family that I don't want to see end.

Carnage is as 2-dimensional as one can be. Venom is as overrated and overused in media as one can be. Venom will get his own movie and has already been used in the Spidey franchise.

So yeah, if Venom and/or Carnage will have main parts in future films, it's what I'd call major fiasco. Especially when we have unused villains such as Lizard, Kraven, Electro, Mysterio, Scorpion, Hobgoblin, Shocker and more.

I doubt that it will be rebooted, but it will be recasted.

Well, you have to admit, it's hard to imagine someone else playing Spdey.

None of us know what exactly Sony is planning to do.

People need to know that its speculation no matter how grounded you think your idea is.

All of the ideas thrown out right now are nothing but speculation. We aren't Sony or Marvel executives.

Saying the actors or Raimi will come back for the 5th and 6th is as speculative as mentioning that there might be a cast/director change.

Yeah, and more points to Raimi&Co NOT to return in 5 and 6 I think. Raimi will be busy with WoW and Sony don't want to wait too long. If Raimi doesn't return, I don't think Kirsten and Tobey will either.

That's because, and take no offense to this, you were a little kid when the first Spider-Man movie came out. So that's basically who you have been you used to your whole life. Once the rose tinted goggles of youth come off, you'll see things differently.

I agree. They both have great visual designs, but I don't find either character to be particularly interesting beyond that.

I would say that it is more common sense to see that Tobey, Kirsten, and Raimi will more than likely not come back for two more films. Add to that with Raimi going to do WoW.

We will be getting a new cast and director. We will not be getting a reboot this early.

That's because, and take no offense to this, you were a little kid when the first Spider-Man movie came out. So that's basically who you have been you used to your whole life.

That's probably why, though, I was into Spider-Man TAS since 1997. So, by right I should be more used to Christopher Daniel Barnes as Spidey, but, I guess not.

We will be getting a new cast and director. We will not be getting a reboot this early.

While I don't consider that a reboot I do consider it a different take on the character which wouldn't be a reboot but a continuation with a whole different style which the director picks.

I guess its the lack of terminology to categorize. Unless the new director just picks up Raimi style although I'd rather see the new directors take without dismissing the stories that took place in the previous movies.
