Splinter Cell: Blacklist

It also has a lot to do with the fact that gaming is much more popular now with older people in there 20s-40s. Those people don't have all the time in the world like a younger kid or a teen would have to play. Most only have like 2 hours a day to play a game a lot of times less than that. So its hard to play a stealth game like Splinter Cell when you have to wait around for enemies and the next thing you know you've barely done anything in the amount of time you were able to play. Its not a bad thing just something that has become much more prevalent now a days and developers realize that. Also Spies vs. Mercs looks awesome
while I think what you said is true, some how I'm not really sure Ubisoff thought of those in their 40's that have this issue, I know there 40 year olds that were playing splinter and loved it, but half of those were people that are some what in the industry and those that had the time are were interested had the time. I think it's a small minority that just busy over all and just don't time for any but gulf . but this is some thing to consider as time does goes by as video games are becoming wider entertainment medium as movies and others before it have .

alright here's what new for us with black list it's about sam partner for co-op notthat differnt from what happened with Rainbow six vegas (the only thin that's the same about these two is you have three to select from there's solo and co-op for story mode and you have the specialized co-op multiplayer)

Co-op stealth and survival in Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Despite being the boss of his own intelligence team, Fourth Echelon, Sam Fisher is still keen to go it alone on most missions in Splinter Cell: Blacklist. For those special outings, he'll need a partner.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist's co-op consists of narrative missions, pulled directly from Sam's subordinates on board the Paladin – a massive plane and base of operations for Fourth Echelon in Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Missions will run the gamut from stealthy to more action-focused affairs and in-between, forcing coordination and cooperation in order to reach the next objective.

Or, in my case, simply survive.Splinter Cell: Blacklist (5/7/13)

Spies vs. Mercs evolved in Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Splinter Cell: Blacklist's Spies vs Mercs mode offers a sense of claustrophobic fear that few multiplayer games have been able to offer. It's an asymmetrical assault mode where one team of heavily-armed mercenaries attempts to defend three terminals from nimble spies attempting to hack in and steal the ones and zeros within.

No matter which side you're on, when one terminal is being hacked, all of the conflict and chaos is focused like a laser to one room where the mercenaries must hunt for the original hacker to stop the countdown. You can't leave that room until the job is done – either the terminal is hacked or the hacker has been dealt with. It's about the most tense 90 seconds I've been asked to endure in a video game.

Not sure im diggin the whole 14 mission types thing. Is this not story co-op?

This is story co-op. this is Sam setting up his agency and having his Ding chavez(reference from Rainbow Six on how director John carter and how ding started out with that, but you never played that out in the games) That will take over for him in the field missions eventually and the agency after wards. but it's still about Sam, here. so I think 14 missions is enough . I don't think they wanted to over do that.

They're just gradually making us get used things it's still mostly about Sam, but like with rainbow six Vegas it has three modes of play. like when you played the same kind thing with co-op as Bishop and any of your friends played his buddy knight. only more in the style of splinter cell.

So, I'm curious, where are you dudes going to pre-order this? I just checked, and it seems like they changed the pre-order incentives since last I checked a few months ago.

It looks like Amazon is the way to go because they're getting the Upper Echelon Pack and the Suppress and Attack Pack.

I've already pre ordered at EB games . I was trying for the special "Ultimate edition" the one with the watch and statue of sam. But it's restricted to Europe. so I can't pick that one up or do it through Amazon cause I have to order a new pre- paid credit card and that wouldn't have come on time for me to have done that. So I just did the normal pre order.

Yeah well it's a shame I can't do it with Amazon this time around oh well. I had to order it some where.

I'm starting to wonder if I should pre-order this now. I wasn't planning to since I'm saving my money for GTA V, but I do love everything I've seen from this so far. But then again its an Ubisoft game and those usually drop in price after a couple of months.

I only pre-ordered cause of what I've seen and if I can't pick up anything from the ultimate special edition. I'll at-least pick up the in game stuff like the golden lenzed goggles and body armor. oh and I have picked up a talon inscribed key chain already.

Hehe it's not the first time they said it ether. But the more they get this point across. the better.

  • I haven't seen these two together since they worked for Victor Lucas on the electric playground at the same time and their careers took off from there.

oh and there's this

Everyone's second-guessing Sam in Splinter Cell: Blacklist

In Splinter Cell: Blacklist, series frontman Sam Fisher finds himself in a new position as leader of Fourth Echelon, a black ops outfit assembled by the President of the United States. Fourth Echelon was formed to hunt down The Engineers, a group of terrorists promising to attack American interests every seven days until all US troops are pulled out of foreign countries.

During a preview session where I was able to sample the first handful of Splinter Cell: Blacklist missions from the final game, I found myself fascinated more than anything with this new team. A few familiar faces but mostly new, Fourth Echelon is comprised of folks who don't necessarily trust Sam's judgment, nor do they have a problem with vocalizing their criticism. Continue Reading
