On terms of the Batman forums: No, everyone pretty much knows.

In over all society outside the internet: Many still don't know that there's a third installment of Nolan's franchise.

I must have missed something then, cause last time I checked, everyone was complaining about this poster -

Did we find the source of those tumblr pics yet?

Yes because people outside of internet forums were discussing the new TDKR poster...

Anyway, the three new ones are sweeeeeeeeeeet. Love the Bane one.

Like TDK, marketing outside of the US has been pretty lackluster thus far. I wouldn't be surprised if this film has over 50% of it's boxoffice from domestic sales at this rate.

I overhead someone who said 'The Black Knight' was coming out this year.

Like real people actually care what films are coming out in 2 months, at least let June come before you start yapping about marketing.

At this point I'm all about the movie stills and the movie itself. The movie will be unbelievable.

Not true, the Avengers were giving Toys at McDonald and putting up posters since February. More people here know about Abraham Lincoln: The Vampire Hunter than The Dark Knight Rises, and that's speaking something.

And? It's much easier to promote a film like Avengers or Spidey, thanks to it's marketing friendly nature and it's bright colours, money shots and merch potential. A film like TDKR, considerably harder, especially when you don't want to shove the entire film down peoples thoats before they even see it because...you know it actually has a plot.

It doesn't take 3 months to get people interested in a film. Especially when TDKR already has a strong base audience. All i can say is be patient, and be grateful the film isn't being spoilt for you.

Call me selfish, but I don't care one bit about awareness or Box Office numbers. So long as I personally enjoy the film, I'll be a happy camper.

Did I say anything about wanting the marketing film spoiling the plot? All I am saying is that they're not distributing their marketing material at the rate they should. They shouldn't be losing out to films that are clearly a few grades below it's caliber.

On Youtube, TDKR trailer 3 already has close to 17 million views in 3 weeks. Compare that to The Amazing Spiderman, well it only has 7 million views for a trailer that came out 3 months ago on Youtube. Also, TDKR was #1 searched movie on Google+ and it was treading on Twitter for awhile this week. So, I think people knows about TDKR.
