Damn, I didn't think the reviews would be this bad lol
But most of them are all the same, "Didn't we see this film 10 years ago?".

It's going to settle in right where it is. Lower than I expected, but not miserably bad.

Anything below 75 in not good imo..

You know why it'll go that low, the negative reviews will be the exact same as they are now. It's not like they're going to change to a completely different thing to complain about, in this movie's case, once you've read one negative review you've basically read most of them all.

I don't care where it settles, I enjoyed this way more than any of the Raimi films. This movie struck cords with me that Raimi films never did.

Avengers had 278 reviews counted, no reason to think TASM won't have roughly the same. So still a few to go. The fact that a lot of negative ones have appeared later in the game doesn't bode too well, though.

Still below Superman Returns and Thor though :csad: lol
Except if you go by Metacritic, then it's above X-Men: FC :woot:
Hopefully the audience will like it more.
These negative reviews are getting annoying because most of them say the exact same thing.

Eastwood's Changeling: 62%.
Aronofsky's The Fountain: 51%

And so many others. RT often sucks.

EDIT:
Batman '89: 70%

I've suddenly lost any faith in that site.

Osborne's death was as final as you could get in Raimi's trilogy.

Cmon man, I know you have better reading comprehension than that. You do know what "we have a chance" means, right? It doesn't imply that we've seen anything yet but "we have a chance" to see it in future sequels.
"We have a chance" means nothing to me.

Green Goblin in Spider-Man wasn't done WRONG to me necessarily.

We don't necessarily have anything here.

It's surely not impressive but TASM feels like a notably average film, and the score is starting to represent that.

It's not an average film:

TASM: http://www.metacritic.com/movie/the-amazing-spider-man
The Avengers: http://www.metacritic.com/movie/the-avengers-2012
X-Men: FC http://www.metacritic.com/movie/x-men-first-class
Captain America: http://www.metacritic.com/movie/captain-america-the-first-avenger

And this from top tier movie critics.

It fits in the good CBM range very well. An average movie doesn't receive a majority of favorable reviews. An average movie usually receives mixed reviews. If this movie was average then the green square would be yellow and it would say underneath it "Mixed to average reviews".
The only reason this movie is getting so many negative (more like mixed than straight up negative) reviews from some critics is because of the origin story being told again, and according to some of the people here, the only thing that's the same is the actual event, what's leading up to it and what happens after it is completely different.

Green Goblin wasn't done wrong but there was much room for improvement. The GG in a future sequel will probably be entirely different from the Raimi version.

Which is a good thing. Its better than having reviews all over the place.

Im quite happy with the scores. And pretty much all my fave critics gave positive reviews. Might see it tonight. Keep posting those reviews after you've seen it!! And use spoiler tags please!

That dude practically raped this movie. Lol
Damn, read the comments.

Nothing positive about ASM ever came out of escapistmagazine.

i know bob had a bias towards the film, but his reviews are usually very fair and true personal opinion is left to the way side

but this one i really dont know, i'm not seeing the film till the weeked so i cant say if i agree or not

but with a lot of reviews saying they are trying to force spidey into the batman mold with the dead parents being the focus, much like when the script rumours leaked this is one element i really have no taste for

Yeah, at least we know that the main complaint is that people think its the same movie over again.

Has Roeper released a review yet?

Sorry dude, I don't go by Metacritic. Their scoring system is highly unstable and inconsistent. Rotten Tomatoes is the better the site, in my opinion. Anywho, TASM to me is a subpar-incredibly average film, and it's not just because of the origin tale being told yet again.

TASM was a C+ movie for varies reasons.

Well to you it is a C+, but opinions overall have been mixed.

How is their scoring "Highly unstable and inconsistent"?
They base their averages on the scores given by the reviews, then average them together, like RT does with it's average score. And again that's just your opinion, a lot of people disagree though.
