Saying every review has been totally positive or 100% of the general audience love it is pretty much being as biased as Devin.

Well 2 reviews on RT are positive but not totally positive. So far it seems it's a good film...not amazing or awful.
At least it doesn't sound like a Green Lantern movie like RIM said. It sounds more like a "set up" movie like Batman Begins or First Class.

Of course it hasn't been 100% positive lol. But generally speaking it has been mostly positive so far. It has gone from "good" to "amazing", along with some "meh."

Even though I don't really count imdb, but 8.1 score from 1,668 ratings!

10 fresh 1 rotten 91% exactly
Plus atleast another 10 other reviews (In different languages) have been positive but are not added to RT
I dont know whats your definition of 'Totally positive' but a lot of them are 4/5(Which counts as totally positive for me)

One guy is making a collection of reviews on IMDB,just go and see how almost all are positive

Its not biasness its a fact,Just see the reviews.I've seen just 2 negative till now and some 20-25 positive ones

As for the GA,Except RIM I am yet to find someone who has given it a negative review.I have seen atleast 50-60 general responses so far(On twitter and this forum)

Our favorite *****ebag has doubled down. Prepare to be pissed off:

He's shown himself to be the lowest form of journalist (actually he's too low to qualify as a journalist). It would all have more credibility if he had seen the movie. He takes an incredible amount of glee and pride in reporting other people's negative impressions of the film, but why? For some mysterious reason he's thrown all his considerable weight (fat, not influence) behind a smear campaign against ASM, well, screw that *****e.

Wonder if he passed his driving test. Can you still drive if you have an IQ below 50?

Many of the reviewers and general people have used the word 'Amazing' to describe it
There you go

Seriously, we should just not even mention anything that he says. Its what he wants. Lets ignore all of his posts, since he is just trying to see this movie bomb.

chaseter, already backtracking eh? you have specific expectations (most of which will not be met, based on the trailers and early reviews). see the movie and then decide, as you have your own criteria that wont be reflected in mainstream reviews.

and cheers to iJackSparrow for being the voice of reason over at Badassdigest. Ive been blocked from posting but hes made the case quite eloquently.

The discussion in the comments is quite interesting. Mostly because Devin isn't really involved (I did like how he sort of backtracked on saying it was bad to saying it was serviceable...those two are not one and the same, IMO).

Its called "covering your ass". Hes hedging his bets due to the positive early reviews screening responses. Cowardly if you ask me. And I dont think the guy has seen the movie yet (why would anyone give him a ticket?), so its still just innuendo with him.

I do want to reiterate that I welcome any honest reviews, positive negative or in between, and no one should be denigrated or run off for posting their thoughts after they've seen the movie. I think Spidey fans, relatively speaking, are a VERY diverse group, and I expect to read a wide variety of responses. I just think that you have to see the movie first before you can have a credible opinion. But I personally wont tolerate people being persecuted for their honest feelings, and will defend them if I can.

"Even though I don't really count imdb," he said, moments before counting IMDb.

I know, dude. I agree with you. ;)

Some of the Raimi fans simply wont like this movie because its not the original series...Sad but true.
Change is hard for some people...

Been having an 'conversation' with good old Devin. I've got a pretty good idea about the guy from it. Tried even saying at the end that we should both just have a civilised conversation about spidey. Nothing. lol.

Oh well.

By the by, The Avengers had many many "good but not great" reviews, despite it's 93% on RT. Understandable give the subject matter. But I'm a Whedon and Marvel fan, so naturally I tend to rate it higher than your average movie critic. "Good" reviews for TASM would be just fine with me.

The thing is, I am just a huge Spider-Man fan. I will never be just a "Raimi" or "Webb" fan, but of the character as a whole. I love having several different incarnations to choose from! So I won't go into TASM with the eyes of a Raimi fan, but just as a SM fan in general.

It's not a fact when you said yourself "As for he GA, except RIM". That right there disproves your theory that 100% of the GA enjoy the film.

Lol.

Its funny how people are love one and hate the other while these films are great in their own merits, why can't they just see that already and if being Spidey fans appreciate it. how lucky are we to be getting an awesome summer full of comic book movies!!

I will hopefully enjoy TAS-M, but I just don't like the full-on negative guys and the full-on positive guys. Simply put, I don't think TAS-M will be a 10/10 kind of movie, and there is a lot of fanboys that are saying this. Hell, I wouldn't even give The Dark Knight or Spider-Man 2 a 10 out of 10.

If people don't like a film, they have a right to dislike the film. I'm no fan of the Raimi spidey films. They have some great moments and it was the first time I got to see spidey 'REALLY' swing.

So I will be grateful for that.

But how they handled the character was poor IMO and other issues I wont repeat lol.

But just because there is a film that is doing a version of a beloved character should not give that film an automatic pass.

We are very lucky in what we are getting this summer. But that wont change the fact that people will like/dislike the films after viewing.
