McWeeny is not a pretentious d-bag that Faraci can be at times.
Absolutely not, totally agreed. I respect McWeeny, never will have an ounce of respect for DF.
Just saying though that Moriarty's lack of regard for the film and skepticism for the filmmakers' talents and studio's motives sound almost on the level of DF... almost. Which is unfortunate.
Obviously he's entitled to his opinion and it may be a very valid one, but I think he's got blinders on which is keeping him from enjoying the film at face value.
At least another reviewer from AICN has the opposite opinion. Capone loved it, and I found his review beautiful to read (with spoilers):
