I hadn't thought about things like that and I must say that I agree. This film has too many genres: war movie, science fiction, chase movie, etc. And it had too may themes: family drama, the trials of war, the inner demons, etc. He tried to do too much and ended up failing. There are definitely many interesting ideas but they are just too jumbled together.

I think I've been blessed to never have seen any of the Ghost Riders or Green Lantern from the way people talk about those films. In some way, I wish Marvel would find a way for Blade to make a comeback as I rather liked the first 2 films (the 3rd one I'd like to somewhat forget.)

Green Lantern wasn't actually that bad. Atleast the first half was pretty fun and promising.

But Ghost Rider weren't good. Especially the second one. I was super excited for it because the graphics looked great on GR (Boiling leather and skull). But it was totally boring.
 
I forgot about that quote with him saying its a bunch of different genres rolled into a super hero film. I personally love that he wrote it that way. But I still have to see how it worked out.

Ghost Rider was ok but not great. Ive watched it a couple times.

Green Lantern was really not good.

Man of Steel I didnt like.

Daredevil was bad.

I didnt like either of the new Spidey films

I expect Age of Ultron to be better than all of those.

No, but I'm basing this off a lot of what's been said in fan and critic reviews. Some have been saying the film wanders a bit in trying to find what kind of story they want to tell and that all those stops-and-starts in trying to find a theme wind up muddling and weakening the overall plot and characterizations.

Less than 24 hours for me. This time tomorrow I'll be walking out the theater.

My crew and I got our ticket's for the 10:30 showing tomorrow night and I'm currently watching Avengers through Guardians of the Galaxy to keep me occupied. I'm pumped.
 
I'm currently reading Hawkeye, My life as a Weapon to deal with the wait. Along with watching The Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a great show. Too bad it didn't last longer.
 
22 hours for me!!! I've been coming to this board, multiple times a day, for 3 years to read everything about this movie and I'm FINALLY going to see it. It seems too good to be true. Lol

Really appreciated! @Sleiek don't bring your expectations down haha, I was very nit picky in my review, trust me the good things about this movie outweigh the cons soo much, its an epic cinematic piece of work!
