The thing is every attempt to reproduce the SS has gone badly wrong, except perhaps TWS. Blonsky, the centipede program on AoS, these all end up badly. Having everyone be a SS, takes away from what makes Steve Rogers "special".

I think it's likely that Struker/Hydra stumbles on something unique in the twins.

Just as Pietro and Wanda realize that Magneto was misguided and wanted no part of it, in the Brotherhood, in the comics. They will come to realize that with Hydra.

What if, instead of being mutants, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are Inhuman?

EDIT: Never mind, just saw link on previous page.

They aren't super soldiers are inhumans, they're naturally powered "miracles"

What if Marvel just took a **** on Fox and just had Magneto raise the two in the very beginning of the film. Problem solved. :D

New problem created: lawsuits!

I realize you're kidding, but I think the whole thing is a non-issue. They weren't Magneto's kids in the beginning anyway, so why worry about the connection now?

Disney laughs at your lawsuits! Really though, I am kidding and I just think these property wars are ridiculous and even exist. I guess I get it from a business standpoint but it gets int he way of our fandom!

But I guess it keeps sites like this alive with threads lol

I would prefer to have the origin of their powers unexplained, they were simply born this way, and Marvel may eventual tie them to the golden age hero that was originally their father. It's Basically following the same thing as the comics, if Marvel gets the X-Men back (in maybe 20 years) they can then tie them with Magnero as was done in the 80s, i don't think it's such a bad situation.

I still don't think they were "born this way"...

We talked about this before, but I'll say again that I just don't believe there's any way people with powers like the twins would have been in the dark for almost 20 years unless they were deliberately kept in the dark. Super-speedster and telepath with godlike "magical" powers wouldn't have gone under the radar of SHIELD, or even of the general public. SW & QS would already be well-known to the world.

Instead, we see them rotting in a HYDRA cell. That tends to indicate that HYDRA has kept them there for the entire duration that they've had their powers, in order to train, expand, tweak or whatever their powers to superhuman levels. Maybe they *did* get their powers from something beyond HYDRA, but it seems clear that HYDRA has kept them in the dungeon since childhood/birth. Safer to assume that they were effectively *created* by HYDRA. And now Von Strucker is ready to unleash them on the world, to usher in his "Age of Miracles."

^I'd really hope not

them being born with powers and kidnapped by hydra at puberty would be preferable to being created by Hydra
Enough science experiments, enough "grounded" explanations, just give us people born with their abilities

I feel pretty confident they'll be mutants as we know them, just called something different.

I think they're going with them being mutants too. I don't think they'll ever flat out say it but they're sticking with that origin.

I'll call it --- Marvel will one day get rights back to their beloved X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spiderman, etc. and they're leaving things open for when that happens.

Yea i hope so. It's something different in the MCU. It opens up so much story telling potential instead of just "experimented on... got super powers".

I think they'll be experimented on, but to figure out how and why they got these powers. Strucker will be trying to study their DNA and replicate it.

That would be a good angle. It could be a mystery as to how they got their powers to both the audience AND the characters in the film.

No, I don't think they will be.
I'm not suggesting it to you, I'm telling you. They're super soldiers.

Whoever started that has a hearing impairment or doesn't understand english context.

Strucker did not call them "miracles", all he said was that it is the Age of Miracles. He wasn't calling them that, he was basically just saying **** is getting crazy.

I like the idea of them just having these powers and Strucker experimenting on them to try and replicate their DNA. Cool angle and would solve everything very simply while also introducing the new characters.

I think they could indeed be kept in the dark, in Agents of SHIELD there was that guy who controled fire, SHIELD had been taking an eye on him for years and he usually kept quiet, it was even stated that he was not the only one born with powers
