Well helllllllllllllllloooooo #FridayReads!

I'm working through Gruenwald's Cap run, but I'm hitting these today too! Thanks for the recs. :woot:

ETA: Looks like "Origin of Ultron" is definitely in the MarvelUnlimited library. (That's how I'm catching up on all these goodies…)

I've just read through Brubaker's Cap run. How is Gruenwald's?

Also, sorry if this is a noob question but what is MarvelUnlimited library?

Gruenwald's run is very old-school, but fun and a lot of classic Cap characters (falcon, Bernie Rosenthal, Bullseye, MODOCK, Squadron Supreme…) get a ton of face time. Plus, the classic "Steve Rogers: Marvel Artist" storyline is so effin' META it's hysterical!

Marvel Unlimited is basically "Netflix for Marvel Comics". For a monthly/yearly fee, you get access to thousands of back issues and new runs 6 mos. after they appear in the stores. I've basically been reading old school greats - Thor, Cap, X-Men, X-Factor, IM, Avengers… you name it, they're likely to have it. It's a great deal for someone like me, who lost all her old comics to other family members/moving/age and time.

The newest books, Marvel Now and all that, appear in the MU library 6 mos. after release in stores and online.

Most, if not all, the Ultron runs that were mentioned above, should be on it. Man, if DC had a service like MU, I'd subscribe in a heartbeat…

Ultron will clearly be funny and snarky. He will tease the Avengers, play games with them and mess with their heads. James Spader is amazing and I am sure he'll have great fun while doing this role
For any of you that watch "The Blacklist", this should come as no surprise. He makes that show entertaining to watch just with his performance alone. The way he speaks, pauses, looks, stares, breathes, and his tones has me believing we are in for a great performance of Ultron. He was way underrated in his role in The Office, I think because he was replacing Steve Carrell, which people weren't ready for a change.

James Spader is the main reason I watch The Blacklist. You wait for him to show up every episode. Now put that same thing into an Avengers film. Its a recipe for stupid awesome cinema

Whoa, wonder what the budget was for this. 5 seconds of damn near movie quality Hulk just to set up a punchline.

Agents of SHIELD could use a Nike sponsor.. :P

Maybe a subsidiary of ILM? Unless they've outsourced the Hulk model I guess. That being said, I'd love if there was a next gen Hulk game that just straight up used the Avengers model.

And pardon me HUNANIMAL, after a third watching I agree that it's the real deal. It was just, like, slightly off putting the first time for some reason. I guess cause the context is just so strange.

Heh, sweet commercial.

Under Armour does some superhero stuff.

Scarlett Johansson deftly deflects pregnancy talk

Plenty of famous moms are more than happy to gab about their bumps and babies with the press. Scarlett Johansson is not one of them.

Johansson is said to be pregnant, but the ultra-tight-lipped actress basically never comments on her personal life. And we do mean never.

When congratulated on her news, from one mom to another mom-to-be, Johansson doesn't miss a beat.

"Oh, boy. I'll tell Robert Downey you say that," she says by phone, referring to her co-star, whose son Exton just had a birthday.

Johansson is engaged to French journalistRomain Dauriac.

As for how she's doing, "everything is going well. We're avenging away," says Johansson, who's shooting “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” in London. (x)

I don't know why they staying trying Scarjo with her personal life, they should know better by now smh. Not only is she private, but her pregnancy clearly wasn't planned, but she's rolling with the punches and handling her business. These journalists need to let her be already.

Spader owns on that show and it is one of the best shows on TV without a doubt. I'm looking forward to his portrayal of Ultron, Red acts very much like him already on Blacklist so this should be a cakewalk for Spader.

I enjoy him so much on the Blacklist that I wouldn't mind if Ultron acted just like Reddington. lol
