it's the end for most of the actors in the MCU.

As in RDJ and Chris Evans, Hemsworth says he's willing to do more, and I'm sure they'd like him to do more. Ruffalo has many more past A3. God knows how many the GOTG cast have signed up for the same for Rudd.

And if you are saying go out with a big bang for RDJ Evans and Hemsworth -if he does leave- I doubt they would appreciate their big bang Avengers 3 films is in fact an Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr. Strange Ant-Man film

How could anyone not see that when people say "Avengers 3 is the end game" it means that it's the end of the contracts for most of the actors?

Ghostcrow I think you live in some sort of alternate reality apart from the rest of us.

Well I must be in the alternate reality where Feige hasn't announced the Avengers 3 plan and that Thanos is in it.

Either way Thanos is the big bad evil in Avengers 3. No way they are going to rehash the Loki storyline again (although I would not be surprised if Hiddleston's in Avengers 3) and I doubt that he gives a rat's rear about HYDRA (who will either be killed off in Avengers 2 or Cap 3).

Yep like Thanos was gonna be the big bad in A2. There are many villains they could do before Thanos.

Anyway my point is not whether Thanos is or is not in Avengers 3, it is that I feel the film will be crammed with to many characters if we have literally all the MCU heroes coming together

He hasn't announced it yet, but it's likely that Thanos is the main bad guy in it.

Oh ghostcrow you silly silly child. You shall see the light haha.

I don't think that matters. I know this is another studio, but I think X-Men: DOFP could serve as a template to see if gathering all of the MCU heroes for Avengers 3 will work.

Thanos has been foreshadowed since the mid-credit scene in TA, the gathering of the Infinity Gems will span several MCU movies, and GOTG will give us another look at Thanos. To have such a buildup to the end boss of TA3 and not have all the heroes on hand, including the new ones introduced in Phase 3, would be a massive letdown. Thanos have to be what Darkseid would've been, but on a biggest scale due to the buildup. I don't really care how much Marvel/Disney would spend on TA3; they better make it the biggest, baddest movie in cinematic history.

You talking about Thanos in A3 or the too many characters thing, because I won't believe the latter till I see it with my own eyes that the film won't be ruined by trying to fit so many characters in it.

Seriously people talk how Thor and Hawkeye get shafted in the first Avengers, imagine coming out and going well Thor, Hawkeye Scarlet Witch Quicksilver Star-lord Gamora Ant-man all got shafted.

@Dr EvilIn regards to DOFP well i see it as Magneto, Xavier Wolverine Beast and Mystique, I have a feeling some of the others will be barely in there. But yes you are right it could quell some nerves for a big coming together

They could throw 500 million at that puppy and it'd still make at least 800 mill profit.

But come now, let's not be insulting to others.

You know what then I would prefer it if it wasn't an Avengers film, if it was titled Thanos, or Infinity Gauntlet or something and A3 was a a separate film. i don't want the Avengers to be pushed out their own movie is what I'm getting at

Did Thor get the shaft in the first Avengers? I think so, but he's had his own solo movie (two of them as a matter of fact). He'll be fine.

Ehhh Thor hasn't met his full potential in any film he's been in so far. I hope he gets the TWS treatment in his next film or AoU.

I think by A3 all the important plot business will be taken care of and all the characters should have a nice chunk of screentime.

As far as tons of actors in same film, Im sure that was part of their contracts. If youre in, youre in all the way.

Why would they be pushed out of their own movie? They're the ones who will be fighting Thanos, after all. And just like Death Star II in ROTJ and Sauron's army in ROTK, the end of the trilogy must produce an obstacle or a villain so great that the heroes will have to be challenged to the brink, otherwise it will feel like a weak ending. I want the buildup to mean something, and if Thanos is a pushover then Marvel would've laid all the groundwork for his arrival in TA3 for nothing.

Perhaps all of Phase 3 will be dealing with Thanos. Instead of all the characters coming together for A3, each movie can deal with Thanos as the main villain.

Whether from different points of view of the same final battle, or maybe each team has a different purpose? Avengers face Thanos head on in the Battle of Earth, GotG deal with the Other in space, perhaps? Then there's the Collector, we still don't know what he's up to.

The threat of Thanos doesn't have to all be resolved in A3. In fact, making the entire Phase deal with the threat of Thanos adds even more gravity to the situation.

My two cents.

That's an interesting analogy, especially if you put Thanos in the role of Palpatine, which is what he is in the MCU.

Where he gets overshadowed by Loki. But that's besides the point, now I've thought of it I feel having a movie titled Infinity Gauntlet where you bring together the Avengers, the Guardians et al and focus a lot of the story on Thanos would be awesome

Have A3 separate, with Kang or Masters of Evil or hell maybe even Hulk

If the MCU can sign the actors to Avengers 4, then maybe have Thanos be the big bad for Avengers 4.

Interesting idea. I think we'll definitely see more of Thanos in phase 3 in the solo films. Probably not Cap or Iron Mans.

I could see him being in Thors though. I'd rather Thanos be the villain than Surtur and Ragnarok to be honest. I get a sense there is history between Odin and Thanos.

If the MCU can sign the actors to Avengers 4, then maybe have Thanos be the big bad for Avengers 4.

Or they can split TA3 into two movies a la The Hunger Games, and have the Avengers first being defeated in part 1 then regroup and win the decisive battle in part 2.

Id love to see The Avengers fighting in space and some Guardians fighting on Earth. Like imagine Rocket, Groot and Hulk hanging out together, while Iron Man, Cap and Star Lord are fighting on some distant planet etc.

Gamora and Hulk fighting side by side = awesome visual!

An intergalactic Avengers film that mixes the more grounded heroes with the cosmic kind will be some really exciting stuff

He just said he was stalling. There is nothing to explicitly indicate he called the strike in. The USB could be instantly tracked as soon as it was plugged in so Hydra could have found their location that way.
