Lol its called acting. He was quite brave in Lost and had a lot more screen time. SPR was Davies' first prominent role, hes done a lot of other less cowardly stuff since then. But it aint happening anyway. Marvel will want less "weirdo" and more "smoulder".

I was just toying with the idea of a high strung eccentric type performance for Strange. Davies has pretty much been typecast as that guy. Im open to other possibilities.

I realize it's acting and I'm not hating on the guy personally. It's just my mind can't help but wander towards his character in SPR.

Doc strange is supposed to be a classy, wealthy surgeon isnt he? Thats why I dont see him as a grungy mope. Even if hes not like Tony personality wise, hes still highly intelligent, well to do with good taste. It sounds like he's an outspoken dude with strong convictions too (see Cap 2).

I guess I feel spoiled by Marvel at this point as far as being faithful to the comics - at least as far as the heroes go. Im okay with a fresh take on Strange.

(I do contradict myself though, since i want a very faithful take on T'Challa. Depends on the character I guess)

Thanks. Sure we'll get the solo Strange but interested to see if there'll be any info on Avengers inclusion. Same goes for Ant Man at some stage in future if his film does well. Aside from that Ms Marvel & Black Panther were the characters I thought might turn up for Avengers 3. Hopefully that works out and they also get solos before or after.

Not sure if I've said it here before when the rumour was first floated, but I do think that one is my favourite so far for actors being linked with the role.

Nope. Coulson was one of the many impersonators of Captain America while he was frozen in ice.
