It Takes Over 22,000 Bricks Build A LEGO Avengers' Helicarrier

tttrllrseoergjasefdf.png

LEGO Ideas is the new name for the grassroots program that's seen sets like Ghostbusters, Minecraft and Back to the Future become LEGO reality. It will also, in my wildest dreams, let this monstrosity become something we can buy.

It looks like a nightmare to build, and would be prohibitively expensive. And that's assuming you've got somewhere to keep it once you'd built it.

But those are questions best left to academics and party poopers. When confronted with the chance to buy an Avengers Helicarrier that is 85 inches long and uses 22,694 bricks, you support it first and ask questions later.

LEGO will take a look at the project's commercial viability if it gets 10,000 votes on the page below. So get voting.

Can you imagine having that beast in your living room?! I hope everyone votes for it :woot:

That's over 7 ft long. Is that in scale with a standard lego mini figure?

Could you imagine trying to put that together only to realize you were missing ONE...****ING...BRICK?! :D

Since we're on the topic of Renner, I'm so glad he's part of the MCU. I just rewatched the Town the other day and he's such an amazing actor. I'm so glad he's going to get a bigger part this time around.

Yeah thats one of his best roles so far. He was excellent as Jem.

I just want Hawkeye to be more of a real character this time so we get to know him and see his personality around the others.

Has anyone heard about Ultron being made of Vibranium? I don't know if I like that. I know Wakanda is sitting over a huge Vibranium deposit, and that pushes it a little, but I'm sort of put off by Ultron being made of Vibranium.

I like it when Cap's shield is the absolute only thing made of Vibranium. That way his shield is 100% unique - there's absolutely no way to replicate its design/make. But when you start throwing Vibranium around, it takes the uniqueness away.

It's like Stark's suit. At first he seems unique cause he pilots a self-made Iron Man suit. But then you realize people like Rhodey can fly one too, and then you realize Stark isn't unique since he can create dozens upon dozens of suits that don't even need him. It takes away the uniqueness of Stark.

If Ultron is made of Vibranium, and if it came from Wakanda, is this hinting at a possible Black Panther appearance?

Its never been unique to Cap, they maybe thought it was back in the 40s, but Vibranium and Adamantium weapons are owned by several characters in the comics. Black Panthers ancestors probably had it before Cap was around. There has to be things such as Vibranium to up the stakes, otherwise the Avengers could easily defeat Ultron.

The real heroes are Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, not Iron Man and Captain America. You can put Rhodey in a suit, but hes not Tony. Steve Rogers is unique as a human being, not just because hes a super soldier. The shield is just a tool he uses.

but stark is unique because he is the one who creates those suits not others. government tried and failed. hammer came close but he also failed too. suit and shield don't make those heroes special as TheVision says. tony and steve's characterizations, abilities make them unique

plus more wakanda news/rumours are good that means we are getting closer to black panther who needs to get his solo movie

But don't you think it would make them ore unique if their shield/suit was more exclusive? Like what if Cap's shield was the only Vibranium to be found in the universe?

Imagine if an Iron Man suit could only be run efficiently by an arc reactor, and the only one that could possibly be made was inside Tony's chest cause the necessary elements to maintain it was limited and only Tony had access to it. It just makes him more unique in my opinion.

Also, on the subject of BP, I imagine him being in a movie like Cap 3 before he gets his own solo. I think his situation would be similar to the Falcon in the sense that he first needs to be involved in someone else's solo movie first.

Iron Man, Thor, Cap, and Hulk were all somewhat popular before the MCU. Widow, Hawk, and Falcon not so much. I feel like BP belongs with the latter group and would need to be exposed to audiences first before really delving into a solo film.

But BP has a very rich and clear origin that would make a good story

Oh. I wouldn't know, I've never seen anything about him (I don't read comics). I just didn't think his tribal-like background would appeal to the general audience to net a good viewing. But I suppose if the Norse-themed Thor movies can do well then BP can surely do as good if not better.

Still, I don't think it would hurt to see a cameo in AoU first.

If you haven't watch Earth's Mightiest Heroes to see why T'Challa's awesome.

Also:
Like what if Cap's shield was the only Vibranium to be found in the universe?
You have no idea how ridiculous this sounds. Because the Universe is so big this whole galaxy is a mere black head on its nose when there's still arms, legs and other body parts.

Well perhaps it's the only Vibranium found on Earth?

Ultron being made from Vibranium makes sense. Marvel obviously can't use Adamantium, which is what Ultron is made from the comics.

Ultron's main thing is he is ridiculously durable to physical attacks. Him tanking a blow from Thor or Hulk like it's nothing is a great way to show the threat he poses.

^^ Right, its part of comics lore that he coats himself in Adamantium (Vibranium in the MCU), plus it just wouldnt make sense to have ULTRON be another Iron Monger type villain. He has to be nearly unstoppable for The Avengers.

Joss said that Ultron doesnt work on logic, hes genuinely disturbed. So we'll be seeing an eccentric AI/robot that comes up with all kinds of crazy ideas to cause chaos.

^^Well how exactly did he get defeated in the comics?

The jacket looks a million times better, but damn it looks restrictive.
Looks to ME like a Sur Coat Knights would wear. Doesn't look like there are sleeves on the Coat itself
