Saw this in the comments section of CBM. I'd love to see an IM suit like this in a movie!

That WOULD be cool But PERSONALLY I still want to see the Thorbuster armor modeled after the Destroyer

GODS we need that footage badly.....lol

I neeeeeeeds it. I want a description from someone for god sakes! I'm shocked we haven't gotten one yet.

When you really think about it logically, all the non-invulnerable characters should be bugging Stark constantly for cool armor and inventions. If I was Hawkeye I'd be all "where's my armor?! Can I have some AI-robot-controlled-arrow-things?? Ooo, or how bout a bow that comes right out of my arm?!"

lol idk, it was my main argument FOR Rescue in IM3, if I was Tony, I'd build a suit for every person I care about who isn't a God or giant green rage monster

There is an episode of the cartoons Avengers Assemble that is about this, Tony tries to convince Steve to get in a suit he created for him, Cap refuses because he likes his "old fashioned ways" and Tony teases him that he refuses because he can´t deal with modern technology, to which Steve proves him wrong, not just about him actually being able to handle technology well, but that he could triumph without it too. :woot:

In this case what they may do for BW is good, she still relies on her skills but has a suit that can give her a little help :oldrazz:

RDJ posted on his Facebook that he has finished filming all his scenes for Age of Ultron.

Aren't they only halfway through the shoot? I guess the good thing about Iron Man is that you don't actually need RDJ to have IM on screen.

Surprised that RDJ's done. May must've been a big month of filming.

I think it was Ruffalo or Whedon who said they were filming until late July so I think they've done closer to 3/4 than 1/2.

Like with Cap 2 last year, they'll probably say they only have a week or two left of filming at SDCC (already mid-late July).

Or maybe it means Iron Man doesn't play a big role after all in the sequel; and maybe this ties into an explanation for why there's not an IM4 in Phase III or, in fact, *any* Tony/IM appearances again until Avengers 3.

(cue conspiracy theory music #tonydies :ninja: )

I think RDJ has been working on AOU since March so it's been at least 3 months. They might have scheduled better with the cast this time - during The Avengers there were times cast members not only had days off but several weeks between shooting.

Also, RDJ doesn't get paid by the day - he's getting his $50m plus whether he works 1 day or 200 days so there's no way Marvel uses him for a small role in AOU.

Paul Bettany once said that voicing JARVIS was a very small commitment and I think he might have said he could in theory knock out the entire role in one day of voice recording. If most of Stark's scenes are just his face in the interior of the armor I don't think that'd take terribly long to shoot. And since he and Don Cheadle are in CGI armor anyway you really don't need them to be present while filming big action scenes the way you would for someone like Quicksilver or Hawkeye.

regarding an article at CBM revealing certain bits about AoU, especially about Ultron :

The suit is said to have a "red firelight underneath, giving him a kind of 'Balrock' effect from LOTR

This comes to mind:

Going by the - well, logical explanation that every character is getting an equal amount of screentime, RDJ being finished is right on track. June's almost over. Whenever Marvel starts filming in April they wrap in mid-late July. People like Johansson (especially) and Jackson could also be finished for all we know.

Did Hemsworth start filming after everyone else? Wasn't he the last one to arrive in London? Maybe he's filming to the very end.

Oh and I'd assume Scarlett will be part of reshoots later in the year/early next year.

I just assumed they filmed the bulk of the group stuff as soon as the could since ScarJo would have been less prego at the time. RDJ doesn't have to be present for CGI IM shots

If Stark dies in A3, I hope there's a small throwback to Avengers 1. He doesn't escape the bomb/explosion this time.

Or maybe a death reminiscent to Steve's crash in The First Avenger.

I don't foresee any of their big heroes dying. They will eventually want an IM 4

This is what happens when you're doing an ensemble movie and playing a character that tends to do most of his superhero stuff via CGI. On TA, RDJ said he finished a lot of his stuff early on in New Mexico. He wasn't even needed once they hit Cleveland to film the Battle of Manhattan scenes. Even Evans and Hemsworth said they had a lot of off-time since they weren't needed for every scene like in their own title films.
