Are Echo and White Tiger (both Ayala and Del Toro) significant enough for Marvel to not tell us who she is?

That describes Angela Del Toro. It doesn't describe an assassin like Elektra or Echo. Plus, White Tiger is Bendis' creation, so he's probably shamelessly self-promoing his own characters over more iconic creations like Elektra.

I don't know where people would be getting the idea that Bendis would have the pull for such a thing. Hell if we're going to talk about casting Dawson it could just as easily be about a desire for some ethnic diversity.

And that's assuming she's "replacing" Elektra and that Elektra won't appear.

Mackie and Sebastian Stan have a panel today at the Philadelphia Comic Con. I'm sure someone will ask them about AoU.

samsnee: I cant believe Harrison busted his leg. I guess when youre almost 80 that stuff happens.

More like, are Echo and White Tiger *insignificant* enough. When casting major characters like DD and Kingpin, they didn't hesitate to identify the role. If it was a major role like Elektra or Karen Page, do you think they'd conveniently leave that out?

Latina + dedicated to cleaning up Hell's Kitchen + Bendis character (he also shamelessly promoted her on the recent Spider-Man cartoon) + "guest star" instead of major recurring role = Angela Del Toro. Elektra, Echo, Typhoid Mary don't really fit that equation. The bit about Dawson's character having a major role in Daredevil's origin throws it off; but then, there's *no* female character in DD's mythos that fits that....they're obviously retconning his origin somewhat to allow for Dawson's character to have more significance to Matt.

The character was borderline to begin with but the movie just accentuated it. He's definitely not in the same league as anyone in the movie but culson. That scene just put it over the top. That's why other people say the same thing, even in Hollywood apparently. He got his ass handed to him easily by Black widow. The only reason I brought that scene back up was because the other dude talking about being a "show me" guy. Well, the movie did a terrible job at explaining his capabilities

You act like being beaten up by Black Widow is supposed to be a mark of shame.

No, you do have a point there. If she loses to him then she would be the one at the bottom of the totem pole. She did handedly kick his ass though.

Am I the only person to think Avengers acadamy is kinda lame?

That's some pretty cool stuff, I'll have my gf check it out. Thanks for posting.

... notice there's no Hawkeye shirts. ....lol jk

Any opportunity for you to troll with the Hawkeye nonsense. Nice how you include the jk in there to try and obsolve yourself of the trolling you just did. But sorry, not gonna work.

While Mackie was signing autographs at Philly Con a few minutes ago he was asked if he'd been anywhere exciting lately and he replied, “Well I was in London.” He's such a tease lol.

No, I think it's lame too. Or at least has the potential to be, but I trust Whedon on this one. If it's just a training group for stark Enterprises or whatever for private security then I guess it's ok but if it's an Academy to train avengers then yeah, it would be as lame as x3 mutant war.

Oh stop crying and get over yourself, it's not that serious. Hawkeye is weak, I'll occasionally say something about it. If you don't like it, don't read it. Again, its not that serious.

You are abusing Hawkeye as if he is a real person, and that being a weak character is his fault, it is Joss's fault and he has admitted as such

I've always thought Hawkeye was a weak character. The movies just kind of cemented it for me. I don't hate the character, I just wouldn't mind if they killed em off is all. He can live too, either way is - meh but he'd be worth more to the story if he died haha.

And I know he's a fictitious character, not sure why people would hurl personal insults to me (a real person lol) in defense of a fictitious character. The weakest one in mcu at that lol.i kinda thought widow was weak too, but Whedon surprised me, her scenes have been great especially when she whipped you-know-who. That fight was so one sided. Her scenes in iron man 2 were very well choreographed as well. I liked that they didn't have her whoop up on winter soldier though, brought her down to earth a bit.

nah i really think those are former shield agents now trayining under stark/avengers

I'm not that hot on it if it becomes the go-to method for ushering in new MCU Superheroes.

If it's just something Stark has to train people for his private global security empire then I'm fine with it.

:funny: oh you.

This is just a guess but Im thinking the university building they were shooting at will appear as the base of Avengers Tower. We'll see if I'm right when the movie comes out. :)

Because they believe you're doing it on purpose to get a rise out of them now that you're aware that it bothers them. That you're still doing it, days later, well after everyone else has moved on only lends validation to those who feel your motives are less than innocent.

(Guessing) This could be the front/bottom of Avengers Tower (its a box shaped Arts Center at the university). The rest of AT will be CGI'd above. Of course the actual Tower top with lab etc is a set at the studio. The field where the recruits are running might be a park outside the tower.

What if the Avengers have a tower and a mansion? Mansion more of a training facility. The Tower the main base of operations?
