The 'Back To The Future' Appreciation Thread - Part 2

I'm beyond excited about the possibilities of the BTTF trilogy on 4K. Universal has been on a roll after Casino and Scarface so I'm confident.

I would personally love to watch a continuation or reboot of BTTF

A continuation maybe, but a reboot!? It just wouldn't have the same impact a teenager from 2020 going to see his parents in 1990. Not as much has changed culturally other than technology like the gap from 1985 to 1955.

Tom Holland as Marty's son(proper not idiot) would be interesting to see. Tom even said he modeled Peter Parker with a bit of Michael J Fox too(Crossing the arms body movement)

Eh, an animated film or TV series would be the best way to continue BTTF. That could be cool.

I think there are some comic books out there, too. They've already done an animated series that focused mostly on Doc's kids, Jules and Verne. Marty, Doc and Clara were mostly in the background.

A reboot wouldn't work for a ton of reasons, but somebody will probably do it someday after most of those involved in the 1985 movie aren't around to stop them.

All 3 films are among my favorite films of all time and I'm still appreciating Back to the Future as the Imponte Deluxo(Delorean)is my main vehicle on Grand Theft Auto V Online. Which also hovers

yeah I have it in my garage in GTA Online for both PSN and Xbox it is my fave car in the online game by far

There was already one Star Wars Clone Wars animated series too. That doesn't mean anything, especially since it was decades ago.

I remember making a joke about how the BTTF remake would be starring Mellisa McCarthy and Kristen Wig while they drive a Tesla.

Looks like it could become a reality with the Cyber Truck? :hehe:

Back to the Future Screenwriter Finally Explains Huge Plot Hole

The question of why Marty’s parents don’t recognize him has plagued Back to the Future fans for literal decades. But Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt knows. He chimed inwith his own theory that ended up being prettyclose. “Maybe they do remember him tho, not as Marty, as Calvin,” the nerd-off began. “When Marty returns to present day 1985, it could have been years since his parents would have perhaps originally noted the uncanny resemblance between their son and that kid from high school 20 years previous.” To ease James Gunn’s mind, Back to the Future’s screenwriter Bob Gale was able to fill the plot hole, some 35 years after its release, to The Hollywood Reporter. “Bear in mind that George and Lorraine only knew Marty/Calvin for eight days when they were 17, and they did not even see him every one of those eight days,” he explained. “So, many years later, they still might remember that interesting kid who got them together on their first date.”

He continued, “So Lorraine and George might think it funny that they once actually met someone named Calvin Klein, and even if they thought their son at age 16 or 17 had some resemblance to him, it wouldn’t be a big deal. I’d bet most of us could look thru our high school yearbooks and find photos of our teen-aged classmates that bear some resemblance to our children.” Congratulations to Chris Pratt! So, with no plot hole, does this mean Back to the Future just went from a perfect movie to an even more perfect movie? At least someone’s having a good week.

Unfortunately the Internet likes to make headlines out of nothing.

I can barely my coworkers faces right now and I’ve been working with them for a year and a half...

Yeah, but don't your coworkers just go outside for a toke until it's their turn on the pole again?

The only thing I want explained is how Clara buried Emmett (before Marty went back in the past), when she was supposed to already had been killed in the ravine before that Monday.

But whatever.

Because she only died in the timeline Doc never went back to 1885. When Doc first went, he picked up Clara at the train station, thus she never fell into the ravine.
