THE BATMOBILE THREAD

I honestly have no idea why some of you are putting TDK so high? The Tumbler scene lasted about 60sec. Batman kills a garbage truck driver, turns around, and Joker blows up the Tumbler: the end. Not exactly a great chase. The Tumbler chase in TDK was spectacularly underwhelming. Sorry.

It's just the most well done in many ways imo but I take back about B&R's being kinda high. I actually like it and love the old film's chases and already say why.

The old films were cheesy or too comic booky or whatever but the comics and tim burton's movies are what got me into Batman and the superhero genre

Wait....so is it "not nonsensical" or is it not not nonsensical? :hehe:

Batfleck chase was just to sell toys. He didn’t have to do any of that. Just wait in the shadows, arrive at Lexcorp, break in and take your ****. He already put a tracker on the truck, why then chase after it and try to kill them? Lol wut

Didn't even noticed it at first and you damn well know BvS's was way worse the whole time. Don't don't go being all sarcastic
I'm not being sarcastic in the slightest. If your barometer for "ruining a scene" is due to Batman killing, I'm having a hard time understanding your #1 choice, when Batman brutally kills in that scene.

Don't worry about it. It simply does. Batman is too much in BvS for me compared to other films and that's that. So anyway..

Arkham Knight went that route before BvS though

But at least you could switch to different batmobiles without weapons

I forgive the Arkham games because they're videogames. Canonically, in the games he doesn't kill anyone. Does the logic make sense when you as a player run over people? No, but it's a game. Logically it also doesn't make sense that in a game you can make Batman fight constantly against thousands of enemies on a single night without him getting tired but it's a game.

Well you can't run over people like in grand theft auto so there's that. When hit a criminal on foot, there's an automatic electric shield or something that pushes them away safely. You can ram into vehicles but only to the side or something without really being lethal. The military drones and vehicles you blow up with ammo or missiles are supposedly driverless with no one inside.

Just meant the route because of a batmobile with weapons and you can still ram vehicles that would likely injure even if not lethal. Batman can be rough but definently not like Affleck..although that interrogation is pretty rough lol

The batmobile chase in BVS looks ugly and it’s not nonsensical.

I remember being excited to see the Snyder batmobile in action, then that scene was so weirdly unexciting and ultimately pointless. Didn't help that it came in the middle of a movie I was hating as I was watching it, but that's not the car's fault.

It’s not only pointless, its horribly lit. And Snyder doubles down on CG, when he has a pretty functional batmobile for real. The score is also LOUD & obnoxious during that scene. Bottom of the list for me.

I like the JL chase more than BvS's but it's also very cgi centric and too over the the top action. I don't mind that for some heroes but not for batman

Guys, here is the answer: Batmobile/batpod chase scene in TDK is best.

Both the tumbler and Snyder's batmobile are cool.

Also, remember when in BR the batmobile shaped itself like a missile to pass trough a narrow hallway? Fun times.

Not Batmobile yet but we got the bike.

It seems awfully cute looking for Batman, especially a Batman who's as gritty as people expect Pattinson's to be. That's part of why it originally looked like it might be Catwoman's to me, but thinking about it the body's too bulky for it to likely be hers.

I love the light shield (?) and the general backwards-pointing shape of the batpod. Definitely lower in tech.

Love the batcycle. I’m curious if there’s even going to be a car now.
