THE BATMOBILE THREAD

lol that's highly reactionary. all optimism gone because of a 50s teaser that didn't have what you preferred to have
Sure, I don’t like what I’m seeing so far. Im bored by a more realistic Batman. We just got that with our last trilogy. That’s clearly what we’re getting, so I’m adjusting my enthusiasm for these reveals. I was hoping for something a bit more fresh. Also, I was clearly talking about the design/aesthetics. I’m not talking about the entire movie. Maybe you need to heed your own advice, and not be so reactionary in defense of the movie? :hehe:

I'm not where Travesty is at because I'm cool with going grounded yet again, but it would definitely be fun to see something more fantastical again at some point, just because why the hell not? Would be fun to see a Gotham out of place and time that doesn't look like a regular city. Plus, I want to see the creature villains because they can be enjoyable and they haven't been done.

It’s fresh. Gotham looks more gothic. More rogues are established at once. Batman’s suit is completely different from any suit we’ve seen in live-action. It is the definition of fresh so far.

We’ve had 6 Batman movies that were pure fantasy. Only 3 that were more grounded (and they were still over the top). And that last trilogy wasn’t even the previous adaptation on screen.

It's not lacking freshness to me. It's just not what I'd prefer at the moment.

I still expect to enjoy the film though.

I don't know why people get so combative when somebody doesn't like something. My boys @Jekecy, @Travesty, and @The Shape aren't big on the suit right now but I can respect their opinions. I hope they come around, but if not I hope the film itself makes up for it.
Ah, it's all good. I find most of the comments funny. So I apparently can't have an opinion on a 50sec video if it veers more negative, but everybody who is praising the 50sec clip is totally fine. Makes perfect sense. :hehe:

In the end, it doesn't really matter. I didn't like JP's Joker design when it released(I still don't like it that much), but I absolutely love that movie. It's easily my favorite DC movie since BB. It's a great movie....but I don't like the design of The Joker.

Ironically, I think you have the opposite opinion as me with Joker, Boom. :D

That sounds right. Love the makeup, not high on the movie.

You're not alone. I was hoping for a somewhat more traditional take on the costume as well. It is what it is, though. I'm still excited for the film as a whole.

Went to a car show earlier today and there was this! Damn I love this car

Very nice 89 replica. I've been very happy to have had one of the screen-used 89 cars at the American History Museum in DC the last year. I visit it often, but apparently WB is moving it out of there soon.

I don’t mind if somebody doesn’t like the suit. I respect it. There are some weird decisions with the new one. So even if I like it, I get it. But when ppl say it’s not fresh, that doesn’t add up to me. That sounds like complaining for the sake of complaining. Especially when you don’t like any of the designs of the last 20 years or more lol.

I think it's pretty easy to see why it's not fresh.

TDKT: armor suit
Arkham games: armor suit
Injustice: armor suit
Telltale: armor suit
Justice League: armor suit
Battinson: armor suit

The comics have been better at it, but even those have been incorporating more armor segments. The majority of the Batsuits that are released to the general audience have been armor based. I honestly don't see what's not adding up to you?

Actually the last on screen Batman was fighting aliens, and sharing screen time with Aliens, Greek Gods, and Fish Men

Can’t believe that exists haha. I wonder how well it performs as a car.

I saw him driving in and it was pretty close to like in the films. I wish I had seen him on the freeway lol

Anyone see the Valhalla they are using in the next Bond?

Growing up the Batmobile was presented as a sleek racer with cutting edge tech.

I kinda want that more than another urban assault vehicle.
